Apparently many of the people in this discussion think Ella Cook was killed at some kind of gathering of conservatives. I'm just pointing out that this was NOT that. It was just an economics class at Brown. The people there weren't there because they were conservative.
Let me ask you. Do you think Ella Cook was killed because she was a White, Christian, Republican? If so, why was Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov killed?

No. It DOES seem that the classroom was targeted. It certainly might be that Ella Cook was the specific target. It might be that she (RIP) was targeted for some reason other than political or religious reasons. It might be that someone else was the target.
Could you find the police statement that Ella was the target?

I did not. They have not made that statement. Some people have claimed that the police have shared with individuals that it appears to have been a targeted attack. That is unverified.
I would assume that one of the dead people was a target if it was a targeted attack.
