I've been screaming this for years!!! Minneapolis, Baltimore, Chicago, New York, St. Louis, Detroit all have been run by Democratic Mayors and Democratic city councils for 40 plus years.
They are the ones in charge of their cities. Not Donald Trump, not Barack Obama or George Bush.
President Obama said just this week, you have to look at local elections if you want change.

This is exactly why the two party system needs to go. Huey said it best, the only difference between a democrat and republican is one skins from the top down and the other from the bottom up.
If you want to really tackle this stuff, you have to have people who are interested in things other than their personal career or bank account growth.
