If you have to ask you don’t need to.

Unless you have over $250k in a bank or are in a non-FDIC bank, no.

Hell NO, Obama consolidated the Banks to make them too big to fail.
He wouldn't lie. He was the smartest President in history.

Nah. If it really blows up, your cash won’t be worth anything anyway.

I hear you but my point was if you get out of the bank habit that has no more super saver savings accounts or any advantage to park your money there.

No bank account equals no check writing. So you send cash, or go the bank with the cash and get a cashiers check for 15 dollars.

If there's a significant bank run your money will be worthless anyway.

To put it in perspective.

If that happens we're all screwed anyway.

Yes, also get 6 packs of toilet paper, 6 gallons of gasoline, & 2 cases of water bottles. It’ll be a 1-week curve this time to stop the virus - pinky promise.

1. The OP's post is what I was replying to.

2. It was tongue in cheek. (mostly)

Well then....My premonition of way over a year ago was correct. I changed banks and went to the one that almost bought off the Cally bank but changed their minds over the weekend.

I should have gone to Capital One where they have interest earning accounts.
