my accounts are within the FDIC insured amount,

You have nothing to worried about. SVB accounts were large amounts held by corporations and tech companies and that's why they were uninsured.

if you have more than $250k then you need to spread that out across different ownership categories or different banks. If you and your spouse both have access to the account then the limit is $500k.

The Feds will not become insolvent. They can just print more money.

Most credit unions are backed by the NCUA (National Credit Union Administration).

Demonkkkrats deserve it for voting for this. Everyone should do what's best for themselves at this point, especially if it hurts Demoncrats in the process. Could care less what happens to em.

pull your money out because cash will be very valuable on the black market

Cash wont be worth anything in a black market economy like you speak of. It has no intrinsic value outside of a larger economy that uses dollars.

Cash is a treasury note. Same as a casino chip. Once the dollar crashes we can burn it for heat like pre nazi germany.

You can almost say the same thing about anything. I remember a TV show called Jericho. It was about the US being nuked on its own soil with dirty bombs and they take out the Congress and President during a joint session of Congress. The show took place in a fictional town called Jericho.

There was one character that lost her parents that were wealthy. In one trip outside the town, she tried to sell some of her parents gold jewelry. No one would take it because they thought it was contaminated and stolen from someone that died from radiation poisoning. So the lesson here is that even gold can become worthless. It only has a value when it is needed. If you take the need out, it now worthless.

One is a complete fricking moron if they have a credit card with 30% interest rates. May as well get a loan from Vito in a track suit at the local Italian restaurant.

And keeping it where?

I have primary checking and savings with BofA and another checking account with a local credit union that I use solely for my rental property. I also have a boat note with the credit union. Thinking of moving my savings from BofA to the CU since I owe them more than the savings account would be. I figure that if I write a check from my credit union account to cover a credit union debt, they'll have no choice but to accept it.
