Also, someone shouldn’t have leaked the memo either but...they did- SECNAV acted a fool in front of his subordinates and it should have been released

He should be heading right back to that ship to confiscate all personal recording devices (including phones), and inform the indidual(s) leakers that when they are discovered, they will be charged under UCMJ.

This is what happens when a ship or command "loves" their commanding officer...

Apparently Mr. Modly acted at the behest of his civilian employer and the Navy had nothing to do with this

Modly's "civilian" employer is the Department of the Navy.

WTF are you talking about?

Negative!
The carrier c/o should already be on it.
If he isn't, there had damn well better be a good reason as to why not.

He should turn off all non-essential ship to shore contact as well for about a week...

And if the relieved Captain was worth a shite, he would have ensured that his crew understood that they should not dwell on him being relieved and they should, as always, focus on the damn mission.

Anything less than that and he is really not the friend of his sailors that he believes he is.

He should have never considered himself a friend of his sailors... That was his problem, he let emotions cloud his judgement and override his common sense...
