isn't that the tenant of Christianity, that no matter how close to the end you can be forgiven of your sins, if you truly repent and believe.
See, there's a special clause there. You can't just hedge your bet. You're either 'all-in' or you've already lost.

It's not really a "hedge your bets" sort of thing. I hope he's sincere.

I would say that anybody that converts to christianity for any reason, even at the end of their life, is not a moron.

All anybody can hope for. Even if hes not in that space right now, hes having conversations about it.

There is still time...albeit not much. But thats enough for God to work wonders

There is no risk in becoming a Christian when facing death. There may be a risk in not becoming a Christian when facing death.

Yeah, thats why its a fallacy.

Imposing human risks and what not when we are talking about a divine judgement.

You mad?

This is exactly what I was taught.

You've got nothing to lose by believing.

I saw the vid earlier today. Mr Adams seems very wise along with being an intelligent man. He said exactly what I've said for years. If we Christians are wrong and there's nothing after we take our last breath, what have we lost? We tried our best to live a decent and moral life and were a net benefit to society. On the other hand if you're an agnostic/atheist and take that last breath and you find yourself standing in front of the Judge, Jesus Christ, the one you dismissed and in some cases mocked.......oh boy.

don’t some Christians believe good works is a prerequisite?

There is not a single person who has ever lived, other than Jesus Christ himself, that has been able to "work" their way into salvation. Not one. It's literally impossible. And any Christian who believes that works have anything whatsoever to do with salvation are, quite simply, wrong.

I wanted you to know I believe a person who bases faith on the premise of "nothing to lose" is a moron.
