It’s not stupid. If the dad had zero idea that his daughter was headed down this path, he’s a garbage parent.
The KMFDM shirt alone is obviously not the issue. But any engaged father would have an inkling that their kid is off the rails.

Let's pump the brakes a bit, I haven't followed this shooting closely but if it had been me I wouldn't have had a clue what the t shirt was referencing or its connection with Columbine and yes I was very much alive and aware at the time so I don't think it's fair to have expected the dad to notice or make the connection either
Especially so to the point of any kind of civil or criminal consequences

The only things this guy is guilty of is...

Charles Manson was a fan of the Beatles, especially the White Album....what's your point?
In her manifesto she expressed that she got the weapons to commit the attack through "lies, manipulation, and my father's stupidity."
She let her dad off the hook.....he just has to plead stupid now.

The crux of your original comment is related to a shirt that only maybe a percentage or a percentage of the population associated with Columbine. I was in college watching the whole thing live and lived through the media fascination and I don't remember the connection to KMFDM. I remember trench coats, doom and marilyn manson. That's about it. Only someone that really did their homework would have drawn a connection to that band.
