He is swampy but I get the impression he can bridge the establishment and MAGA gap better than anyone. Not saying it's an easy task but it's a task that Steve might be able to pull off. Afterall >80% of his supporters are MAGA.

He has Multiple Myeloma. Terrible cancer. My Dad had it. No reason for him to do this.
Why, he’s not dead….
And his chemo is working.

It is with a strong sense of responsibility and purpose that I seek the House Republican Conference’s nomination for Speaker of the House.
What a pile of crap.

Great, another globalist RINO serving at the altar of Soros.
When Trump was in office, Scalise was one of his biggest supporters, now he’s a Soros republican…. Oh Ok….

Scalise is a Rino!
Our home insurance is out of control and he's sending money to Ukraine.
Frick him.

Someone here was trying to argue the other day that his district wasn’t really.

Would be nice, but putting children who get pissed when their minority views aren't acted upon in charge isn't exactly a desirable alternative

This would be big for LA
Except he is the only person from the La Congressional delegation who hasn’t signed on as a co-sponsor to HR 82. This bill would do away with the Windfall Elimination Penalty that affects La and 15 other states.
In La, any teacher, fireman, police or other public servant who receives a state retirement AND are due their full Soc. Security benefits from other employment only receive a percentage (around 60%) of their full SS benefit. HR 82 would eliminate this penalty for those impacted by this in La.

Wrong Congressman got shot that fateful day

Unless the law changed, teachers only get 1/3 of the social security they earned. I know several who worked other jobs, paid into SS, and aren’t getting what they earned. Guess they give that money to border crashers.

Anyone who thinks Scalise isn't another Kevin McCarthy isn't paying attention.

What could possibly go wrong with a Louisiana politician
95% or more of Louisiana republicans are rebranded democrats. I don't expect much in the long run. Our state legislation session is a 2 month buildup with no payoff. I expect as much with another homegrown. Cassidy and Kennedy are the same story just different to different degrees and enthusiasm

Scalise is a good man and I support him.

Why is a federal law needed to fix an issue with 15 states? How do the other 35 get around it?

I was mocking the mouthbreathers on here.if you look two or three posts down from yours you’ll see they actually believe what I was joking about.
