More like a few good Republicans vs. the combined might of the Rinos and Democrats.

It’s ranked choice voting. No run off necessary.
RCV is a runoff, just doesn’t require anyone to show up again in person to do it.

They want you to play these games of Republican vs. Democrat.
It is one big joke and we keep getting fooled again and again. They keep getting away with it while the people suffer.

Like one of our local preachers said about a church after he finally had enough of the underhanded church politics from the members- “This church is only a few funerals away from true revival.”
The same can be said of the GOP and RNC.

So how in earth are they going to sort it out? The two Rs currently add up to more than the D

That’s a three candidate race, right? If so, the D finished last, so his votes will be re-distributed according to his voter’s second choice—to the extent they listed one. Given that there’s only two candidates left, that will put one of the remaining R’s (likely Murkowski because the D’s in AK will prefer her over Tshibaka) over 50%.
If there are 4 candidates, the process will stay the same, it’ll just start with the fourth place candidates’ votes being distributed amongst the two R’s and the D. Then if that doesn’t result in someone getting above 50%, the D’s votes will be next.

They were fine with ‘Republican’ Lisa Murkowski taking $MILLIONS$ from Mitch McConnell’s GOP Senate Minority Fund (after she voted to impeach Pres. Trump and supported Biden’s radically liberal appointees) to defeat the top GOP voter-getter (me), as Lisa publicly endorsed the democrat in my race.”
She does have a point here.

Good. At least we know who is no longer conservative
Probably be easier to list the conservatives, much shorter list.

How does Ranked Choice Voting work?
In each race, voters will rank their choices in order of preference. Votes are counted in rounds.
This is what happens:
Round One:
The Division counts all 1st choices. If a candidate gets 50% + 1 vote in round one, that candidate wins and the counting stops.
If not, counting goes to Round Two.
Round Two (and beyond):
The candidate with the fewest votes gets eliminated. If you voted for that candidate, your vote goes to your next choice
and you still have a say in who wins.
If your first choice candidate was not eliminated, your vote stays with them. Votes are counted again.
This keeps happening in rounds until two candidates are left and the one with the most votes wins.

Palin will not lose because of ranked choice. She will lose because a significant portion of AK republicans (Begich supporters) are supporting Peltola via their second choice. That is no different than those same people sitting out a runoff, or voting for the Democrat.

Thank you.
So just gotta hope the Begich/L voters had Palin 2nd?

You’re arguing Peltola would have received 60%+ in the election without Begich running.

Sarah Palin has gone nuclear on the Republican Party, claiming the GOP sabotaged her Alaska House race and that they deserved their drubbing in the midterms.
Woman retired from politics for 13 years loses election, blames everyone but herself. Leave the GOP? She sounds like chairman material.

ranked choice voting does not seem constitutional. you know. one vote, one person
