Salaries for Pentagon staffers working on diversity, equity and inclusion would be CAPPED at $31,000 a year under new bill proposed by Republicans
LINK
Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) and Rep. Jim Banks (R-Indiana) said on Wednesday they planned to introduce legislation that would limit staffers working on the issues to more junior grades.
It is the latest push by Republicans to rein in what they see as a 'woke' agenda undermining the fighting prowess of American armed forces.
Cotton told Fox News Digital, which was first to report the bill, that the legislation 'will make sure the Department of Defense's budget focuses on strengthening our national security, not paying administrators to solve social justice problems that don’t exist.'
He said legislation would prohibit the Pentagon from employing DEI officials above the E-5 rank, which carries a salary of $31,000 per year.
Anyone currently making more than that would have to be reassigned within 180 days of the law coming into force, according to the terms.
$31K too much!

No biggie. All the DEI crowd are already experts at milking the welfare system. Their total take home will still be six figures. Remember, these folks are savvy to the $950/day retail theft limit. They’ll get by, don’t worry.

Stupid bill that won't accomplish anything

I like the idea, I'm interested in seeing what loopholes the Pentagon would attempt to crawl through if this passed.

That’s retarded.

Having DEI staffers, yes it's retarded.

In my platform, every position in the federal government that is DIE will be eliminated. Also...
Climate justice - gone
Environmental justice - gone
Civil rights offices at the EPA and similar, outside of DOJ - gone
Climate "working groups" - gone
Climate "stakeholder engagement" - gone
Republicans need to stop playing t-ball and get to the majors - no salary reductions, just eliminate the positions.
We don't even have to fire these people. We can retire them and save at least 60% of those personnel costs.
Also, at least 15% of the federal workforce is already past retirement eligibility - gone.
At least 90% of the Senior Executive Service - gone.

That’s about what a stupid arse liberal arts degree is worth anyway.

They shouldn't be paid at all.

Not bad to sit on your arse and bitch and moan all day that whitey is the reason you can’t get ahead

They should be capped at this amount:

Honest Republicans should DEMAND and END to spending Omnibus bills wherein there is zero public knowledge of how and where massive expenditures go. Total transparency. Something the Left hates like Dracula does the light.

Do you still claim to be a “moderate” or moderate Republican? Or have you fully embraced that your values align much more closely to the squad than Thomas Sowell?

Our organization has hired several worthless DEI positions with all of them over 100k annually.

I love conservatives. They're conserving so much.

These motherfrickers sure do love to introduce bills like this when they know they have no shot in hell of going any further with a D senate and "President" but when they have control over both houses and the executive and fricking no meaningful reform at ALL.

It's a start, but the ceiling for such worthless stupidity should be ZERO.

One would have to be very naive indeed to believe that the US Republican Party has the power to stop the expansion of the DEI Industry. DEI departments, managers and employees will become part of every civilian and military organization. This is a truly growing industry that will be aggressively championed by the United States of America.
Two reasons: continued expansion of the Racial Grievance Industry AND the fact that NONE of these high paying jobs will be filled by heterosexual white males.
I don't know what the white boys are going to do in the future. I predict that in about 100 years, it will be illegal to be a heterosexual white male.
