Not sure who's alter he is, but he's quickly making a case for himself as the absolute worst poster on the board... ever. Almost as if it's intentional.

sad cop out. If your starlord was all that you claim, you wouldnt need science, you wouldnt need doctors, yet you sprint to them anyway when things go bad. Why would "god" need a middle man?

Bongino has little depth. Berry is much more qualified. Levin is too angry.

Maybe he was inhaling his cigars.

If you smoke cigars, especially indoors, when you expend a puff your head is in a cloud of of smoke which you will be breathing in during subsequent breaths, essentially inhaling “second hand” smoke that you created.

He shortened many a long drive talking to me. And that's what he did. He talked TO ME.

Great comment.

I traveled by car for work off and on for the last 28 years and Rush was a constant voice for conservative ideals. None of the others come close. He was a great companion on long drives.

I hope he fights this and stays with us as long as possible. Sad times.

Long sigh......let’s do this

I would begin with the laws of physics (conservation of mass and energy); however, I will point to some fundamental weaknesses in the atheist’s platform.

First, cosmologically (which you aren’t), to think humanity has diagnosed the laws of the universe is paralleled only by the understanding an ant on a hill has of solving a differential equation. Humans (to put it mildly) are stupid/primitive life forms.

Secondly, even coming to grips with that stated above, the scientific community has fully acknowledged they have no current way of explaining the vast unknowns of Dark Matter.....that comprises 75%+ of the known universe. Yet, you, a lay person, assert a concrete grasp of how the vast dimensions of the universe operate. It all fits nicely into you angry/bitter framework.

Thirdly, your pedestal is obviously based upon a pain you have experienced in the past. Your angst looks to sooth it through vitriol aimed at those who have faith.

It must be very sad to be you. I’ll pray for you.

ETA: Godspeed to Rush

I haven't heard Michael Berry in a long time but he was ok when I listened to him in Houston. In all seriousness advanced lung cancer is a terrible diagnosis. And it is likely that our time with Rush is short. I've listened to him since he started in either 1988 or 89. I was a young oil patch professional and I got strange looks from people who entered my office with the radio on. When he goes he will be a great loss. It is important for a successor to fill his shoes. I don't know who that is honestly.
I truly hope he beats this. This situation is very bad. I'm not in a position to know how much depth Bongino has. I couldn't see that in Michael Berry either. He had a boilerplate conservative radio talk show. But the market will drive if and how his successor rises. But there won't be another Rush who is an American original.

There will be no actual replacement. Let's hope it's not some watered down version given today's need for a real voice.

Steyn could replace him. I can't think of anyone else that doesn't already have their own show.

Nothing can ever replace Rush. There is only one.

That said, I would be quite happy if Jason Lewis came back to National prominence. For me, he is the closest to Rush.

I have heard Jason Lewis a time or two. I like Todd Herman out of WA; Seattle, maybe. And Ken Mathews out of PA is pretty good.

Steyn tries too hard to make it a comedy spot is my only fault on him.

I thoroughly enjoyed all the Paul Shanklin comedy bits; they were hilarious.

I really feel like a personal family member is really ill. Like others have stated; I organize my day around him so I could listen in to his wealth of knowledge.

for his sake I hope others dont respond the way he would have about them

You can lie about him all you want. Here's a memory seared in my brain:

Bill Clinton's mother died while he was president, on a weekday. Rush said, very humbly:
"President Clinton, I do what I do and you do what you do. Today is a hard day for you, and you and your family are in our thoughts." (paraphrasing 25 year old memory)

And nothing negative was said about President Clinton that day.

Chris Matthews once subbed for Rush back in 90s before he really went off rails. Did a pretty good job that day.
