Is this Russia's way to keep the war going? This is becoming a clown show. What does Russia want to do?

Putin has all the leverage.
Europe is broke and impotent militarily.
Trump doesn’t want any more.
Ukraine is out of men and military material without American support.
Russia can just continue on and will get to set whatever terms unless the status quo changes and the only way that happens is major US escalation and involvement.

Other points taken, but Trump is about to drop the hammer and it isn't going to be pretty. Putin knows he will do it and he's dicked around one too many times.

This has been Russia’s position since 2014. Because the democratically-elected government of Ukraine was overthrown, Russia has taken the position that Zelensky’s regime lacks any legitimacy whatsoever when it comes to military and territorial contracts.

Ukraine’s constitution requires a referendum , so technically Z doesn’t have the power to sign, only to negotiate on behalf of the government.

How is Trump going to drop the hammer, he can't... India, does not trade with us, hardly, they are buying Russian Oil, refining and the Euro's are buying it, All the Euro's need to do is stop buying Russian refined oil, they will not.. Europoors and our Neocons maybe the dumbest smartest people in the world.. China we have 54% tariff on them already.. We are not sending troops to Ukraine, neither is Europoor countries.. They are all talk.. Russia told them many years ago, Ukraine in NATO was their red line, I guess our Globalist and Neocons should have listened...

Russia (Putin) has no intention of signing a peace deal. They want all of Ukraine. Any “deal” that is made will be just like the one Czechoslovakia signed with Germany which was supposed to satisfy all of Hitler’s territorial demands. Putin wants to grind Ukraine down.

What does Zelensky have to do with 2014?

Doubt it.
Any sort of direct US involvement becomes a NATO-Russian land war we neither want, need or benefit from and that pushes Russia into the arms of the Chinese for a generation or more.
There is no graceful exit for us at this point because the globalists killed off those off-ramps at every opportunity until they hit the point at which the most likely outcome for Ukraine is an outright surrender.

If tweet fails to load, click here. I thought the same thing when I saw this in the NYPost. Putin is an a-hole, a killer, a trained KGB agent. But he has a point. Politicos from the USA kicked out the duly elected President of Ukraine and created a revolution to place Zelensky.
Then Biden told Putin they would make Ukraine a NATO member and baited him. Then the USA MSM spread propaganda Putin was dying of cancer, as they wanted to assassinate him no doubt. Torie Nuland et al... wanted Putin dead.
Look for: Victoria Nuland, John McCain, Obama, Biden, most of the establishment of both parties, and other USA NGO's, politicos: below... That installed Zelensky: like they did Biden with an -on fire- twist.

See cajunangelles post below yours. It is a pretty good description of the events that I folded and by whom.

I was aware of that, but Zelensky could sign if he gets the referendum.

It’s been one from the get-go.

I always loved how Russian diplomats are guys who look like they’d stab you in the face and feed you to hogs instead of some limp wrist soyboy

Haha, no he’s not.
He’s given like 15 final warnings to end the war.
