If you look at a lot of the footage, Russians only engage when they are engaged. They roll through towns without bombing civlians, but when UKR armed forces engage them, they get bogged down and start shelling to make advance. Plenty of livecams are up, going by livecams I wouldn't be able to tell those towns are under occupation or at war. Varies from town to town, from city block to city block.
