What if it's just a small EMP incursion?
That would be ok right?

If it doesn't, we can safely bet it was an operation northwoods.

Here is a different article. This warning of a threat from Russia came from DHS, & former DHS saying this warning underscores the threat to Americans..
Homeland Security warns that Russia could launch cyberattack against US
WASHINGTON – A new Department of Homeland Security bulletin warns that Russia could launch a cyberattack against U.S. targets on American soil if it believes Washington’s response to its potential invasion of Ukraine threatens its long-term national security.
DHS blasted out the memo Sunday to U.S. critical infrastructure operators and state and local governments around the country, warning that “Russia maintains a range of offensive cyber tools that it could employ against U.S. networks” that make everything from planes to hospitals to dams and bridges operate.
Separately, a well-respected private cybersecurity firm leader warns that while “cyber espionage is already a regular facet of global activity, as the situation deteriorates, we are likely to see more aggressive information operations and disruptive cyberattacks within and outside of Ukraine.”
Ukraine:Pentagon puts 8,500 troops on alert as Biden consults with European allies on Ukraine: What we know
“The crisis in Ukraine has already proven to be a catalyst for additional aggressive cyber activity that will likely increase as the situation deteriorates,” wrote John Hultquist, vice president of threat intelligence for Mandiant, a cybersecurity firm that provides services to private enterprises, governments and law enforcement agencies worldwide.
“At Mandiant, we have been anticipating this activity, and we are concerned that, unlike the recent defacements and destructive attacks, future activity will not be restricted to Ukrainian targets or the public sector," Hultquist wrote in his Jan. 20 online report.
Paul Rosenzweig, a former senior Homeland Security official, said the DHS Intelligence and Analysis bulletin underscores how even U.S. efforts to help avert a potential military conflict thousands of miles away has the potential to cause real harm to Americans here at home.

A "sophisticated, targeted cyberattack" could knock out large portions of the U.S. power grid for 9 to 18 months, cybersecurity consultant Joe Weiss told Utility Dive. Such an attack would be "irrecoverable," he said.
Could terrorists really black out the power grid ...

The possibility of a terrorist attack knocking out the power grid makes for a good headline, but could it really happen? The U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) says yes.
Terrorist attacks on 9 substations could plunge the U.S. into a nationwide blackout for 18 months.
If terrorists are ever able to knock out nine of the nation's 55,000 substations, the U.S. power grid could suffer coast-to-coast blackouts lasting 18 months or more, according to leaked excerpts from a FERC report.

How do normal people ask Putin to target DC and leave the rest of us alone?
Mail him a letter or something?

That article does nothing but conflate physical and cyber security and quotes a FERC leader who’s a bureaucrat making sure he has job security. Same for the random Consultant. It’s his job to tell NERC that nothing is good enough so that standards and controls are constantly changed and updated for the companies they regulate. Notice at the end that he tries to say they’re “on it” with new physical controls. Nothing about cyber.
Hell, he even says they may be overreacting…
Finally, the exercise mentioned at the end isn’t new and it’s done bi-annually. Called GridEx. It’s an incident response drill that’s been since before this article was written… which was 8 years ago.

If Biden were to push ANY enemy to a point where there were mass causalities in this Nation, he and his 'woke' military leadership would be &^%$ (can't say the word lest I be whacked) in the space of a week. Talk and political games are one thing, people burying their loved ones en masse is another. Putin knows this. Xi too.
I have a good friend who is flying to Ukraine this weekend to pick up family. Worked it through some sort of temp visa. They are desperate to get out over there, they must know it's coming.
Elections have consequences. Especially corrupt elections.

One of the articles is dated. The other is recent saying DHS is putting this out. why?
I realize it is most likely a lot of propaganda for Biden to save face when Russia does what they want.
Biden at the helm is unnerving because he can't be trusted and he is an idiot along with DC in general.

If you believe ANYTHING this administration says you are a fool. I am to the point I do not trust anything they say and immediately look to what they benefit with their lies.

It’s not a Biden thing. It’s a regulator who’s looking out for himself and his job security. They want people and Congress to believe threats are serious and major. It makes them feel like their job is necessary and they want others to think that as well. None of it is based on reality. I work in cyber security for the power industry and have been for over 10 years. Im well versed in NERC and NRC regulations. Knocking out 9 much less 17 of the major substations isn’t happening.

It really is the key issue. Brandon and the State Dept & Pentagon are freaking idgets. They just blew up a family of women & children all to give Brandon some cred.
Biden was in PA the other day and he whispered he won all counties in PA. It is beyond the fringe sickening.
Then to top it off our media cannot be trusted, nor can DHS or any in govt really.
And Congress is just power tripping slushing funds. frick them as well...

I'm not at all concerned about this, because I'm sure our power grid was in Biden's list of things that were off limits to attack that he sent out to our enemies.

How the hell did it get to this ? Why do we rely so heavily on countries who hate us to supply us necessary needs . This is crazy , we are no longer a superpower and our government who sold us out for so many years is to blame as well as us , for not paying attention .

If the US government and the US media say the Russians are planning this, then there is a good chance that the US government is planning something with the power grids.

Y’all are insane.
And if anyone tries to attack it’ll be the Chinese. Although it will be disguised to look like the Russians. They’ve done it before.
