DeSantis is going-in dry on Biden

He fully understands the primary threat is to the 2nd and isn't being distracted by the propaganda ...

The National Guard should be abolished, and the states return to state militias. Comple independence from the Pentagon.

I doubt Alabama could afford to fund a viable state militia that would replace the national guard.

So does Mississippi. Looks to be made up of more than 50% former servicemen. Role is to support National Guard in times of need within the state. Called the Mississippi State Guard all volunteer.

That is generally how it works with the State Guard. They provide depth to the National Guard.

Many states have state militias. A lot of it is volunteers.

California has one of the best organized in the country.

So, it's stacking up to be Blue State Militias vs. Red?

I would imagine that anyone in a state militia leans right. Even in CA.

The Florida State Guard (FSG) is the currently inactive state defense force of the U.S. state of Florida, which was active during World War II. The FSG was created to serve as a stateside replacement for the Florida National Guard while the National Guard was deployed abroad. Unlike the Florida National Guard, the Florida State Guard was trained and funded by the state and therefore could not be federalized and was available to the governor of Florida whenever needed. Although the force was disbanded,Florida law allows the governor of Florida to create and maintain a Florida state defense force should he decide to do so.

Not a bad idea at all. We could do the same here in Louisiana. Money might be a problem.

Good luck. California has a State Military Reserve. It is certainly helpful to Guard.
