This is false. We had the data on Covid from Q1 of 2020. The government had it sooner.

Do you or any of the others have a alternative proposal as a solution that would’ve been a “better” option than the final product attributed to the Trump administration? Or is the goal simply to condemn Trump even though there be no specifics as to what and why, and what he should’ve done instead?

davy, if you're running a humongous enterprise and some midget staffer comes in and says you have to spend shite tons of money, change the way you were running things, etc., ect because xyz was happening. Wouldn't your first action be to have someone with credibility verify xyz?

Do you understand that the CDC made shite up to convince people like Bonds and Stout that the virus was something it wasn't?

Trump's first mistake was not doing that. And to be clear about something, the frickers selling him all the bullshite were the same frickers that had spent the prior 3 years trying to sabotage Trump's presidency from within. Trump's radar for bullshite should have been on high resolution.

Another thing that's never discussed - even if the virus was as it was sold, do you seriously think fedgov was going to protect you or anybody? Fedgov sucks at every single thing it touches. The last thing anybody should want is for fedgov to save them. If NY and CA wanted to shut everything down, let them pay for it. If South Dakota didn't want to shut down, don't make them pay for NY and CA shutdowns.

So again we’re back to “just don’t do what Trump did”……essentially a generic condemnation of the whole enchilada.

Maybe put pressure on his own party to vote against it? And if push came to shove, veto it, even if it would have been overriden? Rather than signing off on that turd that became a Keynesian starter log for the past few years' inflationary conflagration?

Got it. So Ron couldn’t have stopped it as you alleged. Only a cultist would think he could flip that many congress people. It was nearly unanimous.

But hey! Enjoy that tax cut!

Thanks, man.

I put kinda specific ideas in that post and then you just posted your own bullshite completely disconnected to anything I posted. And then said it was “generic.” Shut up, dumbdavy.

Easy to say in hindsight. Even Ron did exactly what fauci told him to for a while. It is ludicrous to think anyone in the whitehouse would 1) veto the act and 2) even if they did veto, would have prevented that act from becoming law.

It's not hindsight. Don't hide behind your own ignorance. There was data and a lot of experts that were aware of what was actually happening.

Clearly. Doesn’t stop you from opining, though

That 40 Republican members of the House voted against the first huge spending bill isn't an opinion. You made the argument that it didn't matter what Trump did because all the spending had near unanimous support in congress and I pointed out that was not true.

Maybe he could have stopped it. Trump obviously didn't care about it. He's not exactly a details guy and surrounds himself with clowns.

Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced that Florida has received more than $4.1 billion in federal relief under the CARES Act to aid the state in responding to and recovering from COVID-19. These funds reflect 50 percent of Florida’s total allocation under the CARES Act, with an additional disbursement of funds pursuant to the CARES Act later this month. “The $4.1 billion in federal funds received through the CARES Act will help ensure Florida secures critical resources as we continue this fight,” said Governor DeSantis. “We thank President Trump for this much-needed support and look forward to our continued work to defeat COVID-19 and emerge stronger than before.” To receive updates on Florida’s efforts to combat COVID-19 please text FLCOVID19 to 888-777.

Tell us again how he would have convinced 1/3 of congress to change their vote.

I asked specifically about the cares act. Which was nearly unanimous and supported by Ron.

He’s only Keynesian if Trump’s Keynesian. If Trump becomes Austrian, BBonds will dutifully follow.

Not likely considering he endorsed it and thanked Trump for it. I mean, twice in this thread you have proven completely ignorant to facts. Easily learnable facts.

BBond25, can you even define Keynesian and Austrian economics, or do I need to tell you about them?

You’re not answering the question.

Let’s get more basic.

Was the CARES act good legislation?

your need to label me is beautiful. I have proven the cares act would become law no matter who was in the White House and I have proven that DeSantis supported the cares act. Yet here you are trying to label me into some corner.

I’m not a fan. But trump Deantis, and 99 percent of congress did. My original statement that caused you all to melt was that the cares act becomes law even with DeSantis in the whitehouse. Now that I’ve shown you DeSantis supported it. Are you still denying that?

you accuse others of being populist, when that is precisely what you are. You aren’t educating anyone about anything.
