Property taxes are literal serfdom. You either pay rent to the state for the right to own your property OR the state will evict you and sell your property to someone who will pay the taxes. It's amazing that we allowed this to happen......

Property and death (estate) taxes are the worst ones out there. It’s a double tax on money that was already taxed when originally earned.

100%. You, in reality, never actually own your home. At any point in time if you don't pay a tax on land that you own with money that was already taxed when you made it, you will lose your home.

Fun fact: Miami has the 2nd largest number of skyscrapers in the US (NYC being the first).

Hope he makes this happen. We have a place we did not want to rent out but have to 4 months a year just to cover property tax and HOA fees. I'd love to spend more time there and not deal with renters.
