I agreed with the OP in my initial response. It wasn’t until your fellow rainbow warrior took offense to my correct assessment that MAGA dislikes Ron Desantis because of his fashion choices that you and he (her?) couldn’t resist reeeing because your feelings were hurt that the thread took a turn.

So because a certain cross section of you are completely incapable of interpretation of “shorthand” versions of the same concepts and points (just speaking for myself here), then naturally wouldn’t you think that the next logical step would be to explain the concept or point in a more detailed long form.

I really don't care about people's individual opinions of Desantis, but no one can validly argue that he is anything other than an absolute well-oiled machine of competent governance.
I think he's a bit of an awkward guy, but I think he would be an absolutely stellar United States President.

It got to the ugly level that it did not due to any negative criticism towards Desantis, but rather due to the Trump hating drama queens who, as usual, grabbed the thing closest to them (at the time that was Desantis) to amplify as much as they could in order to use it as a weapon against those with whom they disagree on an anonymous internet message board. Much like is easily seen in this thread today - the primary ones who brought up stuff like shoes and boots and whatever else are the ones who claim to be heroes who also have to come to his defense. Very shallow people who don’t even understand what they’re doing or saying the majority of the time.
