At once one can believe that this preacher should be forgiven by believers that seek forgiveness, that he should still be in prison, that he should never be alone with children again, and that God will judge the sincerity of his faith and repentance.

Morris wants that 600-800k per year chunk of change "promised" him by Gateway so he can blunt the damage coming his way by the civil suit.

Depending on the competency of the lady's attorneys and the jury:

1) Gateway is done (parishioners and money will flee as they do not want that stench on them)
2) Morris won't remain in that home long and he will most likely die in anonymity or someone will take him out.

Early reports are that their attendance has dropped by 50% over the past year (that’s a bit of an older report, so it could easily be worse now). Staff layoffs have occurred.

If the church is built on the personality of the pastor, they don’t survive the loss of the pastor.
