You're right in that there should be... RR let himself get ate up with it though, unfortunately.

Which is why...

I do remember a recent thread that send he had entered himself into a mental hospital or something.

He did check himself in for a stay and it was directly, politically motivated.

this piece of shite spent his entire adult life trashing Christianity, people born with White skin color, and anyone who didn't share his radical political views. all the while choosing to live in a multi-million dollar mansion surrounded by the same people he "hated".

IMO, the pure joy of catching Spinal Tap whenever it happens to be on outweighs any of the political idiocy that Reiner regularly spewed.

awful thing to happen, but also an absolutely awful human being.

both things can be true.

Valid point.

And that's the same thing that many said when C Kirk was murdered.

This was on TCM just this last Friday night and I had to watch the rest of it. An all-timer for sure.

“I, for one, don’t believe the problem was that the band was down. I think the problem may have been that there was a Stonehenge monument on stage that was in danger of being crushed by a dwarf.”

He was a miserable sack of shite, but he didn't deserve to die in such a wretched way.

I was simply pointing out that people said the same thing.

Both were senseless murders. Both had fans as well as people who did not like them because of the political positions they held.
