Even logically thinking about this it doesn't make sense. If it was that deadlocked, no way the judge says go home at 4:30 and no way they just didn't say hung jury.

Possibly the lawyer is leaking this narrative to ease pressure on the jury? If the angry mob outside the courthouse believes it's deadlocked, they might be more calm than if they believe it's just a single holdout or maybe two.
They'll try to riot anyway, no matter what. I just hope the cops are ready to be as passive as they were during the "summer of love". I want people to get a fresh reminder of how the Left acts when they don't get their way.
As an aside, it's already been said a lot but there's no logical reason why this jury should not have been sequestered. It's like this whole thing was set up to be a mistrial from the beginning very deliberately, no matter the outcome. It's beyond doubt that this judge should have already dismissed charges due to mistrial with prejudice.

They only riot if they are allowed to riot. It will come down to Governor ordering his police and National Guard to allow his petulant children to act out their aggression and frustration on not getting their way.

There is absolutely fear of doxxing. The jury forewoman asked on camera about CourtTV equipment being in the court room while they were viewing video evidence in there. Clearly she was concerned that they were being filmed.
And remember, this is the SECOND time someone has been caught trying to photograph them.

this is a correct statement of law. It got me thinking..... what IF this is precisely what the Judge wants, he has to declare "Hung Jury".... which means he must order a Mistrial, without prejudice..... perhaps no riot, they all go home, next week, in written order, he grants the previously filed motion for mistrial, simply converts from "without" to "with".... boom, essentially a NG, and case cannot be tried again, and all the outside agitators have gone home.....
Nothing to suggest that this happens, or being considered, but that would be a "win win" for all the good guys.
