My brother got covid and was prescribed Ivermectin and got better in two days.
Ivermectin taken under close doc orders is not the same as going to tractor supply and self-dosing

Hate to hear that. Wasn’t he an anti-vaxxer?
I would say he was more vax hesitant.

Phil took ivermectin and the infusion, it didn’t work for him.

I don’t know the full story, but I would guess those drugs were administered too late.

The ventilator is a death sentence.
My understanding is that with Covid, a vent gives about a 50% chance of survival.
So, yeah, if you get Covid and the doc comes in and says "vent time" you know your chances of survival are about a coin-flip. That would be pretty unnerving to deal with.

IMO, I would rather get the vaccine than potentially be given the vent talk.

I think that’s closer to accurate for non-Covid patients. Vent survival for Covid patients is not anywhere near 50%. Probably not near 25%.

Depends on the study. There was one meta-analysis that looked at 69 studies. When they looked at ALL ages combined, they concluded that a vent gives you a 55% survival chance. So slightly better than a coin-flip.
However, it varies by age. Only 15% of people over 80 survived the vent.

Hilarious a man died eating horse paste. Glad you’re enjoying it.
Don't take the word of us quacks that post on here. Go watch Joe Rogan's podcast with with former SNL cast member Breuer. They aren't typical PoliBoard intellects.
He is ANGRY with the way health professionals treated him and other CoVID patients he knows. Bone chilling examples he gives. He eventually was forced to take Ivermectin on his own.

He could have overcome COVID with two shots and if that failed, an antibody infusion.
Misinformation like your post is why he’s dead.
This entire post is misinformation. And you are an MD?
There are very few absolutes in medicine. Maybe with different treatment he lives. Maybe not.
Maybe with the vaccine he lives. Maybe not.
Your are arrogant and irresponsible as a MD, if you are which I highly doubt, for making a definitive statement of the care of a patient for which you are not involved.

Tiguar is fully invested.

When you put someone on a vent "out of an abundance of caution" that is the wrong reason IMO.
When I originally read the story I thought...I have never put someone on a vent out of an abundance of caution.

Jesus Christ. I thought this was a joke until I saw who posted it. So now we should listen to comedians instead of medical doctors. Unreal.

If you think doctors are infallible then you’re the fool. Doctor error is the third leading cause of death.

So if you take medical advice from comedians over doctors what does that make you?

Are you a doctor Tiguar?? My brother got covid and was prescribed Ivermectin and got better in two days. Amazing how you seem to know more than doctors
Do you understand that millions of people have gotten covid and are better in 2 days wether they took ivermectin or not?
It’s generally a mild disease for most.

Made a little adjustment to your quote, but otherwise agree. Gumbo and jdoc can’t wait to take out some more people with misinformation.

Anyone with two fricking brain cells to rub together knows Valentine's odds with the vaccine would have been a helluva lot better than your dumbass "maybe, maybe not."
Clearly the only thing that will convince some of you sheep is for members of your own family to die. That's what convinced Phil's family.
