Also, what she did was unwise but she was also unarmed. Just like the people who were sainted and rioted over, but nobody gave a shite about her life. That didn’t sit well with me.

If someone is climbing through a window into your home how are you to know if they are armed? Does it matter?

The cop was on the other side of a closed and barricaded door with a glass window. From the cop’s side, she smashed the window and was climbing through the barricaded door.
The cop is positioned to defend the Senators and other officials behind him at the location of the barricaded door. All he sees is a person smashing the glass and climbing through with a mob behind her.

The mental gymnastics of some here are incredible. She broke into a federal building and is part of a group breaking glass and trying to break into a barricaded door guarded by armed police.

That’s not how it works. You don’t get to pretend you know what someone is going to do. You have to have a reasonable fear of imminent serious physical injury in order to shoot someone. Even in the Capitol. There was no reasonable fear of imminent serious physical injury from Babbit. If he was a black guy trying to steal a car and someone shot him, you’d be here saying he was murdered. But because you’re a partisan idiot, you’re parroting what you’re supposed to parrot.
