Do me a favor and look at the expenditures for the Friends of Ron DeSantis PAC.

The Trump only support is insane to me. I hate the GOP at large because they are just as bad as democrats on most issues and anti-liberty. That said I don’t think Trump, while a great President, and someone I will vote for if he is the nominee, will win in 2024. I don’t understand the need to tear down anyone who thinks differently. We are natural allies and DeSantis has shown nothing to make me think he is a Jeb Bush or McConnell Republican. You can’t even use this RGA funding nonsense because, as others have said, they spent more on Lake per capita than DeSantis. I just don’t get it or the need to skew the record like the OP.

Probably doesn't count as much as giving directly to her campaign

This is the problem with consuming information through a narrative-driven filter. Gumbo, it's actually the opposite.

The reason the RGA funneled Lake money through local orgs is because local buyers can buy political media here for substantially less than a national organization can.

The Yuma Republican organization was able to by $1MM more TV advertising than the RGA could have buying it directly.

They also gave it directly to DeSantis because he has been the head of the FL GOP for 4 years and would do a better job at distributing it to where it was needed than Lake who is a political newcomer.

Not that DeSantis is officially the FL GOP chairman but he runs the party in that state as the highest elected statewide official. It’s all about using the funds most effectively. The national GOP orgs, especially McConnells Senate PAC deserve every criticism you can throw at them I don’t think the RGA funding decisions deserve much criticism at all.

Updated the title.

Sorry for the initial incorrect premise.

I guess after years and years of McConnells, Ryans, McCanins and Romneys I'm extremely sensitive to establishment machinations.

Jesus, dude. The vast majority of DeSantis supporters on this board have said they would support Trump if he’s the nominee. We just think DeSantis is the better choice and would do a better job at extending and implementing the MAGA agenda nationwide than Trump in 2024 because of how negatively Trump is viewed by a large segment of people.

They didn’t. They spent $11M on Arizona.

The bulk of spending by the RGA was done in Q3. The primary was in Q3.

Yeah. Trump should’ve given more financial support to his candidates. I agree.

What did the RGA spend $11.5MM on? I'm not following your argument.

He was wrong. And it isn't queer to be right.

Just look at the expenditures from the DeSantis PAC. It tells you right there how much he contributed to the state GOP, congressional, and other races in the state. If you don’t want to see that fine but it’s what happened.
