It says in the link. They spent it on Arizona. $8M in Q3.
Okay, but how is that inconsistent with RGA spending $8MM in support of Lake's candidacy?

Because there wasn’t one Republican candidate in Q3.

David_DJS says RGA spent $11 million on Lake.
Halfwhat they gave DeSantis and Florida is three times the population. Sounds like they favored Lake and screwed DeSantis.

So you think they spread their spend around to 3-4 Republican candidates for governor in the primary? That makes no sense.
Moreover, Kari Lake won the nomination 8/5. So for 2 months of the 3rd quarter (the two months the RGA spent money, KL was the Republican nominee.
ETA - and to the extent they spent before Lake won the nomination, they were spending to tear Hobbs down. Before the Republican nominee was determined, they were running Katia Hobbs loves the open border ads.

The bulk of spending by the RGA was done in Q3. The primary was in Q3.
If you're determining that by the line chart, there are a few problems with that:
1. Lake won about 1/3 though Q3 (Aug 4), and there was almost 2 months of that quarter in which she was the nominee. The election was held a little over 1/3 thru Q4. So this is not apples to apples.
2. The PAC funded local PACs to more efficiently use the money, according to a poster here. If true they obviously needed to disburse the funds so the local groups could make their own buys.
3. Do we know if media buys are made on an upfront basis, in advance of airing TV ads in future weeks? That I don't know

Right. It doesn’t make sense. It probably went to Hobson and Lake.
Hobson got $12M more in donations to her campaign despite not running in the general.

Is that considered a donation to Lake?

And what did they do in Florida?
Just to be consistent.

That's cute. I considered what you said and came to the conclusion that it doesn't make any sense

Don’t know. I didn’t look at Florida.

Ah you're right. They were really actually trying help Marc Victor instead

Hobson funded her own campaign.
Taylor Robson loaned her campaign $750,000 on July 5 and $1.1 million on July 8, bringing her self-funding total to $15.2 million, according to her report for July 1-16, which was due to the Arizona Secretary of State’s Office by Saturday.

You came to the conclusion that your post is as off the handle as Gumbo’s but don’t want to acknowledge it. I would resign myself to the same sort of cognitive dissonance if I were in your shoes.

I'm aware. You probably should.

You really need to work on your reading comprehension and critical reasoning skills

It's considered a donation to the Republican nominee for AZ governor, which ended up being Lake.
But to be clear, the vast majority of their spend was in Aug, Sep and Oct, after Lake won the nomination.

Good information. She has a total of $22M in donations at the link.

I think these two points are actually correct and I am incorrect.
The ad buys were made and money was disbursed in anticipation of the expenses upcoming. The RGA was pot-committed to whoever was going to be the nominee.
