I did have a dude try to get me to trade five pairs of Levi's for a T-34 (I'm pretty sure) in Budapest in the 90s. It's possible. I could have gone Jeremy Clarkson I guess, if I would have known better.
(ETA: he wanted my jeans)

He is offering no check and no balance, not even a fight against an attack upon a constitutional right by the legislature. I don't want to take away guns, but hey, if the DC establishment can put together a majority, sure, I'll sign that bill. Not acceptable.
Where did he say he doesn't want to take away guns? He just said he wasn't gonna do it. He still wants it done, it's just not his priority. And if it gets done anyway, he'll be delighted to sign it.

I really don't understand that line of thinking how absolutely no restrictions on firearms what-so-ever would be a good thing, regardless of what the 2nd amendment is. I wouldn't want my neighbor having nuclear weapons
nukes are not "arms"

There is an amendment process. That's what it's there for.
Otherwise, go to hell.

I am baffled by the RFK Jr buzz. First, his spasmodic dysphonia, unfortunately, makes him a very unlikely front runner for POTUS.
Second, and more importantly, he has opinions about various third-rail issues that make him a no-go for large swaths of people all the way from the far right to the far left. He is just not a viable POTUS candidate given the timbre of politics at the current time. He might snare a not insignificant number of votes partly from people that refuse to vote for either the R or D candidate and might play a spoiler in the election (hard to tell at this point who he would spoil but I see more interest on the right).
He really doesn't fit in either pigeon hole but there are a ton of people that require their candidates to fill certain specific holes. There may have been a time or may be a time when someone so diverse in opinion is electable, 2024 will not be that time.

Weird. I haven't heard anyone who says they currently support Trump, say they'll support RFK if Trump somehow doesn't get the nom.
Myself included.
Trump clearly has the nom in the bag right now and it's not even close. But if something happens in the next year, and BDR is the nominee, I'll support him and vote for him over RFK. Every current Trump supporter I've spoken to about it, has said the exact same thing. We may align with RFK on things like the MIC and "vaccine" mandates/issues, but our similarities end there.
The "Trump Cultists" and "Robots" bullshite is just noise. Painting each other into black and white boxes is counterproductive. We're even more dysfunctional than the dims with all of our infighting.

Yep. He pulls no punches and the establishment hates him. That, alone, goes a long way with people.
That’s how we ended up with Trump.

Yeah, that’s absurd.
Trump people will happily vote for Ron or Vivek even if RFKJr somehow miraculously gets the dem nomination. Will Ron people do the same for Trump? That’s a better question.

I don't mind his answer but it shows a lack of understanding of the difference between a Law, and a Constitutional Right.
You're not going to dismantle the 2nd amendment with our a constitutional amendment. There is a process for that and they flee from even the mention of it because they know it will fail measurable.
The only way around it is to stack the SCOTUS with liberal anti gun judges that will twist the meaning of the 2nd amendment to allow them to create more laws to ban guns and at that point the Constitution collapses and becomes just another pies of paper with some writing on it. Then the only option is to take it back by force or completely surrender the idea of America. Period.

I like his response. If somehow he could win the election, I believe his leadership would benefit America. Honestly, he would probably get more done than Trump.
