They need to encourage people to grow their own food . Not only is it healthier , better for the environment , but keeps people from relying on big corporations. Hopefully they are making changing to make it easier for small farmers to help produce more of our food instead of big corporations. I know this is something Joel Salatin has talked about in the past .

there were subsidies to help small farmers but musk just cut that. It was a program that helped schools purchase food from local farms. Government fraud apparently.

I have friends that live in Germany. When they come here and eat our food they have their guts fricked up the entire time. Squirting shite out where you aren't suppose to squirt.

They don't like our bread. They say it is too sweet.

most Americans opt for convenience over health and taste. Real bread straight out the oven is sold in most grocery stores yet most opt for the ultra processed bread that lasts two weeks.

Who knew it would be the two dems (RFK & Tulsi) to deliver on promises and not Bondi, Kash and Bongino.

Trump needs to sit down with his conservative cabinet members.

Agreed. Bondi and Patel have been all hat and no cattle.

I wouldn’t say it’s on level with Jeff Sessions in the first Trump admin, but it’s been underwhelming

I was wondering about fast food way back in the day. Would it get the bad unhealthy rap that it gets today, or was the food actually more straightforward and a lot less processed then?

You make a lot more sense on Saints Talk. Actually not a bad poster there. Here, it’s a different story

It's funny how the rise in skin cancers has coincided almost directly with the rise in "suntan lotion" or whatever.

For eons, humans lived with (and worshipped) the sun. And all of a sudden - it's bad for you!

Whatever that means, yeah, sure. Okay.
Pay attention to your macros and prioritize protein.

I'll give you an example. I used to struggle with a crazy appetite, almost no matter how much I ate. I started eating Greek yogurt + whey powder around 9:30 every AM. Big portion - up to 70g of protein. Not only is it good for me, but it is much more satiating than other macros - especially carbs.

Maybe have a goal of 1g of protein per lb of body weight.

Another recommendation I've seen is have 1g per centimeter of height. I think that's a good recommendation for people who are overweight because it's easier to attain in a calorie deficit.

I vaguely recall a small thread where metabolic health along with unconventional politics were discussed…

Take off your partisan ballcap for even a moment and realize all those factors can be contributors. It’s not a this or that situation.
