Diets high in carbohydrates and sugars certainly are not healthy. Not sure how anyone could deny that. This forum is full of lazy fat fricks who wine and complain all day on the internet instead of going to a gym.

That is not related to mental health. I’ve seen gym rats with significant mental issues and fat people with none.

So I take it you're trying to imply he is wrong? Sorry, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt here. I think he has access to better information than we do.

That sure is alot of trust considering a few months ago he announced that Tylenol causes autism then back tracked it like a week later.

This dude's entire career is making stupid claims.

Someone needs to inform Secretary Kennedy that improvement of symptoms while a good thing does not mean cure. Also keto diet was studied as an add on treatment for people already on antipsychotics.

Bingo. But Kennedy is MAGA. So not only can he not be criticized, but he is correct in everything he says.

You donkey, I typed out a transcript.

So you agree, he stated that schizophrenia was cured by a keto diet. Not "eating well is good overall" genericness. But a very specific claim. Is that claim supported by evidence?

The article you linked said he was speaking at the state capitol.

And what is the capital of Tennessee?

This isn't some gotcha that OP thinks it is.

RFK reported the findings published by Dr. Palmer at Harvard followed by what he read within another study. All of this in context of advocating for eating healthier.

Those statements are factual in that he is merely reporting what he read and it should warrant discussion and exploration.

Why would I try to teach a dog calculus? You even asking that question tells me you don't understand the first thing about reimbursements. You are trying to set up a "oh, if its volume then you need to keep people sick!" gotcha that would insult the intelligence of my 6 year old niece.

why are you assuming the cure would be less profitable than the sum of the treatments nullified?

It's a fair assumption that a one- time cure would cost less than decades of treatment.

He said a doctor at harvard had a patient cured by keto.

That is not an across the board statement.

I cured my headache by drinking a couple of glasses of water. Maybe that'll work for you or maybe you need an advil.

It was AN EXAMPLE of nutrition having a positive impact on issues beyond physical health.

So here's a fun one. Do you guys know how Christopher Palmer treats schizophrenia and bipolar disorder? With keto diet. Dude has been with Harvard as a psychiatrist for 30 frickin years.

I don't know anything about him... but it's sad people will out of hand dismiss shite simply because of who said it.

Yes, we all know from reading your posts that being MAGA doesn't mean a person cannot also be a fricking retard.

OK friend, You got me.

"RFK Jr. Talks Dietary Guidelines in Nashville" = "RFK Hosts Dietary Guidelines Event in Nashville"

We can ignore the subtitle

quote:

Health and Human Services secretary talks vaccines, rural health care at state Capitol

It was an event to address dietary guidelines only. It was NOT a stop on his speaking tour as was advertised.

You win again!

You are getting very bogged down in semantics.

Let me recap... he was speaking about nutrition. I proved it. Move on.
