This is pretty exciting. There is the blah, blah this is a bad look for republicans crap. But it will be sorted out and I suspect the GOP will be better for it. The GOP could find themselves on the cusp of losing support.

McCarthy withdraws or enough Democrats leave so his threshold gets lowered.

If that happens he will look pathetic.

He needs to withdraw.

YOU can be speaker if you wanted. You don't even have to be an elected representative to become speaker.

Just speculating that no one will be put up for nomination in round 3 and the GOP will have no one to vote for except McCarthy. Just speculation.

Pretty sure it can be anyone -- including those who are not members of Congress.
