The root cause analysis of this would conclude her parents failed her, her peers failed her and her tribe failed her. Ultimately she would have probably grasped this on her own but I would be positive she was exposed to ruthless indoctrination that overcame her natural instinct and eyes.

IF, and I doubt it, she's alive..... she and her reproductive organs are damaged and ruined beyond repair.
Remember, many of those in that invasion force were pardoned from prison the day before/day of.
