How will the UN assess a carbon tax against all of those poor villagers?

My move? You haven't explained your position yet.

I have never denied the pollution in the oceans is nonexistent or not a problem.

yet you claim your made-up hoax fake global warming fairy tale that crumbles more with each passing day as the political sham that it is, is more of an issue.

so, no. its your turn to defend your position against an ACTUAL GARBAGE PILE OF shite THE SIZE OF TEXAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN as less of a threat to mankind than your fairy-tale of a liberal wet-dream made up science scam.

love for you to explain to me how a localized, albeit very large, pollution problem would have a greater impact on mankind as a whole as an entire global shift in climate?

oh sorry, you were speaking 'hypothetically'.

well i can play your game too salmon.

A GIGANTIC 100FT HIGH TSUNAMI HEADING TOWARDS ALL COUNTRIES AT THE SAME TIME is clearly more important than garbage in the ocean.

that it? you're couching your claim by not actually admitting you believe in GW but you're saying if it was true it would be a bad thing?

this board..i swear.

Actually this will be good for the fisheries, as the rising oceans will create more volume of clean waters for the fish to leave in, and will displace and possibly drown billions of humans, who would otherwise be eating them.

Move inland. Burn a rainforest.

No. I was asking you to explain how the localized trash island would have a greater impact on mankind than a shift in global climate.

That was your statement. I'm asking you to explain it.

So far all you have done is move the goalposts and post several strawmen.

It was a question. You haven't answered it yet.

I've been to Haiti a couple of times and you can't walk 5 yards without coming across a little 6-oz spent water pack. It's the only safe water source and trash disposal and collection is "challenged" to put it lightly. All that gets washed into the rivers and sea eventually.

This is one of those problems that's going to be harder to fix than anyone imagines.

Haiti is a small problem compared to larger 3rd world countries like Nigeria, etc.

It may not, but at least man can do something about localized pollution. We really can't do anything about naturally occurring long term changes in global climate.

Could government have stopped the ice ages from happening? Could they have stopped them from ending (global warming)?

The pollution problem is real. It is demonstrable. It is traceable to source. Therefore it is correctable. The same countries are responsible for significant air pollution beyond CO2. That fact is also easy to track.

CO2 impact on climate?
Not so much.

You just gotta love the free enterprise system. As we're busy importing shitehole cultures and values, we're exporting plastics, Styrofoam, chemicals and the fruits of technology to said shiteholes.
