Some argue that they bet too much on Hillary winning (since Obama is, of course, the best gun salesman of all time), but when GEOTUS won they were too deep in debt to recover.
Others claim their products are trash.

So they have been going back and forth with this for about 15 years, just an FYI.

They put a lot into a new semi-auto that tanked.
The R51.

Google Remington 870 quality control.

Can Trump give a Firearms Maker's bailout?
"Remington is too big to fail!"
"I saved all of those gun jobs!"

Also, this probably isn’t the end of Remington.
Colt completed a Chapter 11 in 2016 and they’re still in business.

Of course the media would blame the Sandy Hook lawsuits and not the actual management of the company.

Winner, winner chicken dinner.
They also bought several companies and ran them into the ground. ie. Marlin, Para, Bushmaster and others.
Their handguns did not sell.

I am happy with my 700 and I don't leave rounds in the chamber

Like mentioned earlier and on the outboard threads, remington quality has nose dived. When people having decades old firearms working better than a new one, that spells trouble. Their new pistol has more issues than Chelsea Manning. Their ar15s are overpriced big time. On gun boards people looking for an ar15/10 for hunting either build or buy another brand.
Just bad management and decisions for years now.

Nah, they suck now. Pre-2007 ones are amazing. New ones are soooo bad.

This is an Outdoor Board topic, not political, tbh...
My first deer rifle/high powered rifle was a 700 BDL 30.06 that my dad bought for me in 1980. Awesome rifle, always has and still does put in 1.5 inch shot groups at 300 yards (libs, I know you have no idea what that means, but it means it is a good thing); That rifle has the best factory trigger pull of any weapon off the shelf I have ever purchased(purchased since then I mean...I know my dad bought me this one when I was 14). I do know that later models of the 700 had big QC issues, and that the brand name suffered from a perception of poor quality and lack of innovation. I hope they address the issues. I still love my old 700 and will never get rid of it.
