Oh y’all are still looking forward to that, remember that dastardly sun needs blocking. What goofy group of people think that they can control weather by lowering CO2, using solar panels, wind turbines or for that matter reducing heat output from the wrong plants? So yes I can agree democrats still want to control the weather. Does that help you with your gotcha today?

A lot of people cried "government weather control" on X when Hurricane Helene's devastated the North Carolina mountains. But most people don't understand orographic lift and how rare it is for the North Carolina mountains. I should say rare in terms of east to west weather flow. Most of the time the North Carolina mountains see west to east weather patterns. But for Hurricane Helene the precipitation flow was from east to west and the ensuing orographic lift put Hurricane Helene's precipitation on steroids.

The issue now, not only in Louisiana, is bees. I don't see bees that much anymore. The pesticide that is killing the bee population is the overuse of neonicotinoids.

I doubt DDT is the only reason you're seeing pelicans come back, but yes banning DDT is definitely the reason we have an ecosystem nightmare brewing due to decreases in bee populations.

The first weather modification patent was filed in 1896.
There’s a really interesting one from 1971 which references the ability to force tropical fronts to ingest sea water to “strengthen” a storm.
It’s also a given that they can enhance or reduce storms by various means as well.
The most famous is HAARP which was just mothballed in the last ten years where they were shooting lasers into the upper atmosphere (ionsphere) and allegedly could alter weather patterns. Obviously it’s classified, but the program existed for decades and their exact capabilities remain unclear.
