A lot of democrats were also cheering about the bombing of Baghdad in 2003
This is just factually incorrect. Most democrats saw through the Powell speech to the UN, and were well aware of Wolfowitz’s plan for the Middle East that was published in the late nineties.

You should write Trump a firm but polite letter explaining your concerns.

At least the right has swallowed their pride and seen the light. Dems are now the party of endless war

And Yet, Many Of Them Still Voted For It Anyway

Yes I remember.
I remember all the dead from. Planes flying into the towers.
F with us, and we should respond even bigger! No problem with that.

Is this a joke? Good one if so!
If not, Iraq had nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks.

Let them all die under Turkish rule.

I love how you translate “we aren’t putting boots on the ground and we aren’t funding it” to we are putting boots on the ground and funding it.

I remember an entire country being behind it, not just conservatives.

Yeah. We were brainwashed by propaganda...and realized too late that we were brainwashed into supporting absolute bullshite. I woke up from my stupor around 2006.
When will leftists wake the frick up? It's surreal how the roles have switched. Now I'm one of the ones disappointed in how many Americans support war. Especially the war in Ukraine, and they want to permanently fund it, so that every Ukrainian peasant can bleed and die for the elites. Some demanding we officially enter the war with troops on the ground.
I know people who argued with me endlessly about my support for invading iraq... who now argue with me on why we must invade Russia and overthrow the entire Russian government.

Well in 2003 I was 23 so I was less than 10 during the gulf war which cost about seventeen dollars and eighty five cents, and all of a 12 hour paper mill shift to start and finish. Hell yeah I cheered it on. Nobody told me it wouldn’t end for 15 plus years and cost me 20% of my paycheck.

But Trump did not rule out deploying troops to Gaza in support of these rebuilding efforts. In response to the question of whether U.S. troops should be sent to Gaza to fill a “security vacuum”, Trump specifically said that — “if necessary” — he would deploy U.S. troops to secure any rebuilding effort in Gaza.
Now, I certainly believe that Trump is absolutely correct in his comments that any lasting solution to the situation in Gaza is guaranteed to be a debacle if it involves returning to the same failed paradigms that have defined the United States’ relationship with the entire region over the past several decades. I further believe that Trump is absolutely correct in his belief that the average residents of Gaza have long been used as pawns in a geopolitical chess match.
As successful land developer, Trump is looking at this strip of land as a tremendous development opportunity and is thus seeking proactive and fresh solutions to a tremendously complicated situation. With that said, what Trump said in this press conference would indeed be a return to the same failed solutions of past administrations.
However you characterize his remarks at this press conference, deploying U.S. troops to assist in any rebuilding effort in the Middle East is not putting America first. The exchange posted below starts at 18:40 +/- in the following video:
Question:
Mr President, can a normalisation deal with Saudi Arabia be achieved without the acknowledgment of a Palestinian state? That question for you, too, Mr Prime Minister. And Mr President, given what you've said about Gaza, should the US send troops to help secure the security vacuum?
Donald Trump:
So, Saudi Arabia is going to be very helpful. And they have been very helpful. They want peace in the Middle East. It's very simple. Uh, we know their leader and their leaders very well. They are wonderful people. And they want peace in the Middle East. As far as Gaza is concerned, we will do what is necessary.
If it's necessary, we'll do that. We're going to take over that peace and we're going to develop it, create thousands and thousands of jobs. And it will be something that the entire Middle East can be very proud of.

You just don’t get it. Sit this one out.
Trump is not invading Gaza. Trump is not spending taxpayer money on it.

Gaza is the ME's problem, not ours.

Only war I have supported since world war 2 was Afghanistan. And even that dragged on forever even once Bin Laden was killed. War makes special interest wealthy and that is that.

I presume the MIGA coalition in the Trump White House?
Draw your own conclusions but I noticed that Netanyahu was wearing a Alpha Male Red tie while Trump was wearing a beta-bitch blue tie.
