Chip Roy has a 100 score from the heritage foundation.
He’s arguably the most conservative member of the house.
I agree that he shouldn’t have gone after Paxton but if we’re making a list of people to primary Roy wouldn’t be on mine.

No one is opposed to cutting spending.
I would prefer this gets passed now and keep midterms alive for Trump since we won't have to revisit the debt ceiling until after
I also want DOGE to have every shot they can to make changes. The bill from yesterday hand language to kill DOGE before it ever got off the ground
Both are turd sandwiches but one is more palatable than the other
If Chip Roy's grandstanding results in a better bill then I will gladly take that
