Are you of the belief Donald Trump was a bad President? If so, please list specific policies enacted that make you believe this.

Not who you were talking to but for me the biggest things would be

1. His overall lack of leadership during the pandemic. Giving Fauci free rein to do as he pleased. Not pushed back against masks and shutdowns. Basically allowing this country to disintegrate for a year

2. Massive increase in spending coupled with tax cuts, so the exact opposite way to fix the federal debt crisis. Spending insane amounts and instead of using the political capital he had coming out of the 2016 election to make real cuts to spending he’s more worried about what can be had right now so goes for tax cuts instead. So instead of even working on the debt in the slightest bit we greatly increased it by putting the tab on our kids and grandkids credit card. I’m sure they’ll thank us for that

I have voted for Trump in the past but cannot pull the lever for him this time.

My biggest gripes since he took office in 2016:

1. Supported masks and business closures.

President Trump is not a doctor. Like all presidents before him, President Trump relied on the experts in the field. In this case, Fauci and Birx. Brix admitted in her book they both intentionally lied to and mislead President Trump in order to force their own agendas.

Fauci has just recently admitted, in congressional hearings, they made most of this crap up.

I will not fault President Trump for deferring to his “experts” while fighting what he was falsely led to believe was a once in a Iifetime killer pandemic.

As for Fauci and Birx, they should be prosecuted for genocide (for starters).

2. Pardoned 3 military war criminals as well as vocally supported Eddie Gallagher.
Because you believe our soliders’ should be prosecuted for acts during war; a chaotic, high stress environment where mistakes are made every moment of every day?

quote:

3. He’s a convicted felon himself who cannot legally own a firearm or vote.
This is nothing more than lawfare, that will be reversed (probably by SCOTUS and not until after the election)…but you know this.

Try harder and bring something with substance.

I agree with you on the spending. That’s been a sore spot for me for decades (since I became old enough to understand the basic principles of government debt and funding). The ONLY reason I am not completely bitter is due to the fact the renegotiated trade agreements, tariffs, returning manufacturing jobs to the US, building pipelines, tax cuts, etc drastically increased revenue.

As to Covid, I addressed that in my post above.

The biggest problem I had with the Trump presidency was the fact he did not clean house when he first came in; He kept leftovers from the Obama years. This proved to be a catastrophic mistake and one I can only hope he does not repeat.

I agree this was probably the most fatal flaw to his term.

Makes no sense to me. There have been elections when I just didn’t vote.

No one has to vote for the lesser of two evils if that’s what they perceive it to be. Just don’t vote, or pull the lever for Kennedy as a protest vote demanding better liberal candidates.

I however, will be voting for Trump for the first time. In elections I’ve voted, I’ve voted libertarian in every election since 2008.

I will be voting for Trump in November.

The lengths they have gone to stop him makes me incredibly suspicious of their motives, and has highlighted their absolute corruption. This was always a given to me, but they have exposed themselves so openly that they must be stopped.

I will enthusiastically vote for Trump.

If anything avoiding WWIII, which the left seems hellbent on starting, is the most important ballot issue of my 44 years on this planet. It’s imperative we take another path for our kids. If anyone has draft age children and votes for Biden it really makes me question their sanity.

this board has seen fake libertarian's, left posing as moderates, moderates posing as neocons, classic liberals posing as neoliberals. conservatives posing as the Cruz Crew turned into Ronfiends.

posters that still believe Trump is an agent of Putin's. they don't really believe it, they just hate like the great Jim explains SO WELL!

Thank you for making my next point.

I won’t quote your whole post, lest someone else has to read nonsense.

I will never vote for any politician who was in office during COVID, and neither should you. They deprived us of inalienable rights, regardless of party. I notice several posters who continue to rationalize these actions solely because they’re republicans (as you have now done).

Regarding point 2, you are clearly uninformed on the facts of those military cases.

Your final point, that Trump’s convictions will be overturned, is a pipe dream. They will stand. Just like the millions of felons who are convicted of equally-minuscule crimes every year. Regardless, the same collateral consequences now apply to him.

How could he possibly be the law and order president when he himself can’t steer clear of the law? I can’t expect my son to look up to him when he can’t even buy a shotgun from Walmart.
