I would have to see a whole lot more detail before buying off on this premise. I strongly suspect this is some highly filtered, cherry picked data sets coupled with quite generous assumptions.

I love watching the Trump cucks on this board fall in line. They've stopped reading and only shout fake news. The long term effect on their already small mind could be devastating.

Except for the fact that they are getting priority hiring(companies are getting tax benefits for hiring these refugees), and housing subsidies then this is correct.

Read the linked article, it appears they broke down their data by age of entry and length of time in the US.

Wonder if they broke it down by country of origin as well. I'm sure those results would be informative.

The way the article is written, "refugees" sound like some generic fungible commodity, completely interchangeable regardless if they're fleeing Communism in Eastern Europe, drug trafficking in Colombia, or warlords in Somalia. I would think there might be a difference in their success rates between such disparate groups, wouldn't you?

Because of the source or because you have data to refute it?

Quite a few of us in this thread are anything but Trump "chucks" son.

Trump is an idiot that somehow trolled his way to the presidency. Just so you understand my point of view.

But OP's post is so full of bullshite it's a fricking joke.

Even if this is true, that means they only pay $1100 in taxes a year

WP is not making this up. They are not the source of the statistics. It is amazing how many people do not believe actual news organizations but then they believe what they read on Infowars, Breitbart, Fox News, and Facebook. Sad

That's the question

They are here ILLEGALLY! It is AGAINST THE LAW for them to be here. They are BREAKING THE LAW by being here. Why don't you go rob a bank mutherfricker because you think it is the right thing to do!

Because of math.

The average Middle Eastern refugee costs ~$65,000 to settle here in the first five years. Assuming they incur 0 further benefits in the next fifteen years, they will need to pay an average of $3000/yr in taxes per person (not per household) in those twenty years. For a family of four, that would require an income of roughly $50000 (charitably assuming a 25% effective tax rate) in each of the 20 years. If they make $20,000 the first two years, they're going to need to make $80000 the last two and et cetera.

Made a couple of math errors in the first time through. This is edited.

In short, bullshite.
