Texas is as red as it was in 2024. But if a candidate who’s not personally liked can’t even be bothered to try and correct it, the race isn’t red vs blue anymore. It’s actual person vs ghosting douchebag. Hopefully he figures it out but he’s clearly been surrounded by idiots
Just out of curiosity, what are you prepared to suggest he do to “correct it” in the area of being “not personally liked?”
Secondly, how certain are you he hasn’t been “bothered” to do any such thing, ie that he’s done nothing to “correct” it?

There are two keys voting blocks to watch in this race.
1. How many RINOs(the Bush/Rove clan types for example) refuse to vote for Paxton because they hate him & they either don't vote at all or inexplicably vote for the soy boy.
2. How much of the Black vote Talarico actually gets & how many will stay home & refuse to vote for him.
The Jasmine Ratchet Crockett/Collin Allred Black power clan hate Talarico’s guts & are not endorsing him or campaigning for him as of yet. They could just be waiting for a payoff so we will see.
I just don’t see straight Black & Hispanic males voluntarily going to a polling place & pressing a lever for a White effeminate, obviously closeted Austin soy boy with serious mental problems.

Cornyn would have been more of a layup
I don't think he would have. He has fricked over conservatives in Texas so many times, including in 2020 (after the primary or the general, I don't recall,) hard conservatives like me would have just burned my vote for the Libertarian candidate rather than vote for that RINO POS again. He wasn't as bad as Collins and Murkowski, but he was the Texas flavor of them. People like him, and Joe Strauss, etc., needed to be taught a lesson.

Texas is completely lost. Don’t come bringing that bull shite to Alabama!!

He's hoping for a major misstep, against a disciplined campaigner . That's a risky strategy. George HW Bush went that route in 1992. He was a one term President
He was a one term president because he said read my lips, no new taxes, and then raised taxes.

Our family is currently in Dallas, and we’ve seen far more Talafreako yard signs than Paxton. Not good.
Republicans don’t want to open themselves to harassment and vandalism. I have never put a sign in my yard because some leftist frick will probably key my car. My precinct and ward registration is 93 democrats 450 republicans 190 independents and 90% of the signs are for democrat candidates.

He's not that bad for DEMs and the DEMs in TX hate Trump and Paxton.
Is Talarico a bad candidate for the 16% independent voters?
By any sober metric, Talarico is a total trainwreck.

I warned everyone about Paxton last year on this site, he is as big a POS as any libtard. Yes, he is our POS but this turned an easy win in an expensive toss up.
I know this mfer, and I don’t fully understand how he isn’t in prison. I guess he is in the Texas Epstein class.
If we lose this race we could lose the Senate, Trump might as well retire.
Think of the biggest a-hole you personally know, that no one even his own family likes, who fricked his business partners, fricks his best friends wife, etc etc and you are close to Paxton. This is really stretching the brand to its limits.

I defer to people living in Texas on this race, but I have enough friends there to say Paxton is generally disliked and the more people that meet him the worse it gets. Trump better get his arse to Texas at least three times before the election, instead of getting his son n law to meet with the head libtards

Well, we're here because Cornyn basically did that to the entire state of Texas for multiple terms.

Everything you listed is nonsensical, emotional hysterics. Every politician including James Talerico and John Cornyn is manipulated by someone or something and too suggest that voting for him is just too much is idiotic. Great character traits in political leaders are non existent however what they will support is very real. I hope all of your friends get culturally enriched by the millions of new immigrants that will be flooding Texas. Emotional virtue signaling in the voting booth deserves the repercussions that will invariably come with it are well deserved

I am not disagreeing with you on that point, but if Texas is thinking about electing a twink like that over the GOP candidate we have a shite candidate.
Posted on 8/29/26 at 7:35 pm to TutHillTiger
Corynen would have lost. Most MAGA hate him with a passion ……
Talafreaki is too weird to get 50%. Blacks don’t want him. Jews don’t want him. MAGA doesn’t want him Moderate Dems don’t want him.
Trumps endorsement of Paxton gets Paxton elected …..

I know, right? If only they were running the guy who lost the primary without even forcing a runoff in a multiple-candidate contest, after finding himself on the wrong end of Trump’s valuable endorsement choice, it’s a shame they aren’t running that losing guy. How is this not blatantly obvious to everyone??

Naw
If Talafreako wins, it's just confirmation that Paxton is a bad candidate and Trump is currently nuclear-level toxic to many
