I just returned from Chicago today, stayed downtown for two days. There are cops in very large numbers in the city, they’re walking with two to three others at all times as well, every other block.

He’s so bad he’s probably the only Democrat elected official that would leave office with less net worth than when he started.
One thing even the most incompetent politicians are is master thieves.

He’s probably got scams on top of scams nobody is looking at.

He would win tomorrow running against Ronald Reagan for mayor of Chicago.

Hey chicongo voters? How's that "Doing the same thing, but expecting different results" working out for ya? Might be time to do something different. Could Republicans be any worse?

I would second this as well.

Within the tourist and business areas it felt very heavily patrolled and significantly safer than many other big cities post Covid.

Our St. Louis City Mayor is an idiot. Our sheriff had someone roll the dice to decide if they kept their job. The St. Louis County Council is trying to vote themselves Kings of the World. It’s all the same everywhere.

It’s like these dumb black people watched a movie on corruption and thought that’s how everyone governs. And in the case of our cities, it’s true.

And the STL exporting this mindset with Rep Crock-of-Racisssm being sent to the Dallas area.

Yep. their choices are a corrupt political white guy who does good things for the city or unqualified blacks, honesty is debatable, who are in over their heads who do nothing good for the city.

It's the grievance culture. Your hear your entire life about White Privilege, you're down because The Man keeps you down, everybody in power works the system (ok, this one is mostly true), etc etc. If that's been hammered into you for your entire life, so when you get your chance at the trough you think "Damn right, it's Black Magic time now".

It's not like white people don't love them some easy money via the government too, but it sure seems to get out of hand when the majority of office holders is black. In addition to city government HBCUs are another prime example.

Notice that the democrat party apparatus is going after the NY mayor but has not said one world about this clown.

Chicago has a bad rep for safety but it’s a pretty safe city compared to LA, NY or NOLA. The violence is gentrified there and happens almost exclusively in their west and south neighborhoods, which tourists would never have a reason to visit
