what kind of shitty business are you running or subjecting yourself to?

Some businesses and entire industries have brainwashed their workers into thinking this kind of shite is "just part of life."

They're too stupid to get away from it, so they're left to accept it.

Wasn’t even a burn, really. I wouldn’t think a social worker would have any conservative views as to the government.

That's why I specified the local office's discretion.

That means that your local office might follow the rules, whereas mine didn't.

And after I posted that I remembered more cases in which we were successful in causing denials of some claims that were made without proper cause, but the fact that any of the cases we had would fail is ridiculous. Every one of them was documented properly and furnished to the agency.

If it's not just part of life, then what is it?

That's an emotional plea that has nothing to do with the analogy.

Mass layoffs happen all the time. The truth doesn't care if you acknowledge it or not.

The only system shock here that you're struggling with is watching government workers be subjected to the same forces most of the workforce accepts as normal.

Yes, and some politicians have brainwashed some Americans into thinking this kind of shite is patriotic or productive.

It’s not patriotic to deficit spend.

Not everyone has to be retarded with you. You can do it on your own.

They happen and they're usually pretty shitty for everyone. I can't imagine a CEO coming out with a chainsaw and cheering that he gets to cut people's jobs...

I also have a hard time imagining any well run company having to rehire the same folks immediately post layoff cause they can't figure out someone is promoted....that's a whole new level of being a shitshow.

Incompetence.

yeah = real competence is demonstrated by having 30% of your employees with no real assignments or deliverables and no incentive to even show up at their desks.

That is real competent management to a progstain.

I must’ve misread, I thought 1300 were fired and 180 were called back.?.?

Oh......you're under the assumption that this only happened with these 180 employees?

Our federal government is not a well run company. If it was none of this would be necessary.

Can you imagine a CEO giving an interview bragging about how his layoff tactics are more than likely unconstitutional, but the beauty of the situation is that by the time the Supreme Court rules on it the purpose of the layoffs will have been served?

I agree the current and previous administrations have been pretty poor stewards of it.

When is it appropriate for government workers to be fired? Is there a specific test you want to see met? Should government continue to grow? Explain your position here.
