I’m a physician and this article is sort of confusing. She likely had a stent placed in the bile duct because of presumed obstruction due to the cancer. She also had a PET CT to look for metastasized or distant spread of the cancer - that appears to have been negative. I can’t imagine she is carrying a cancer-free diagnosis after one round of radiation, in fact I’m almost certain this is the case.

Gonna need a source on this one

Saw this on Fox News just now. We talk about her a lot on this Board but I suspect her days are numbered with recurring Pancreatic cancer as well as the previous tumors on her lungs. Are the tumors on her lung metastatic cancer? We don't know nor should it be our business. I suspect she can be kept alive until November of 2020 but her tenure on the court is not likely long term long. And I do feel sorry for her as she's gone through a lot.

If RBG beats pancreatic cancer for a second time, I will build a monument to her. Surviving it ONCE is unbelievable.

She’s already beaten pancreatic cancer once.

10 years ago when she was 76 she was declared a winner but that was 10 years ago and you are now working on a person who is 10 years older and 86 at that.

I give her until Dec. 2019.

She is tough person. I would have loved to hear her and Scalia having their weekly dinner conversations.

She actually passed away a few years ago. A contract worth several billion dollars with Industrial Lights and Magic has kept up her appearances with a combination of robotics and CGI.

I look forward to having Ginsburg off the bench but I do have a grudging respect for her considering she's a bag of bones but tough as hell

I may not agree with her philosophically but agree that she is an incredible woman. She came up in a different time and place so I understand how she formed her views. She really was a groundbreaker and deserves respect.

God damned that’s a tough woman.

Isn’t it insane that politics is preventing her from stepping down and enjoying her remaining days doing what she loves?

I mean how deranged must the left be that she (and all the left) would rather her maintain her position and suffer with declining health and mental faculties than her step down for her own peace and comfort. Those people will put their progressive agenda/ideology above anything else. It truly is a religion to these people.

I would have to assume she could do whatever the frick she wants. Although, anyone any way encouraging her to keep working at this point would seem a bit cruel to me.

I assume you mean that she is not carrying a cancer free diagnosis. We are not a year since she had lung cancer which was treated and physicians declared she was cancer free. Now she is being treated for pancreatic cancer where physicians declare she is otherwise cancer free. I suspect as I think you suspect that she is not cancer free. We should take pity on her as she is a very ill woman.

Not only that, but can't you hit a lifetime limit on how much they can give you before it can be very dangerous?

Yea at some point you have to think that there is no way she should be making decisions as her health could be a serious distraction.

Nice of them to keep something like this from the public.

I mean, why should the public know when someone is battling a life threatening illness while holding the office of a potentially hugely significant Supreme Court Justice pick.

This reeks of the same bullshite protection the media gave Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election.

This post is to HHM. I was just posting in the doctor Wee Wee's thread and saw you get all pissy saying the cancer is gone and his thread (a doctor) was in bad taste.

I see you RAed it away like the hall monitor you are. So here is my reply to Wee Wee. (there was nothing wrong with his thread)

quote:

She should retire and spend her remaining month(s) with her loved ones. I have seen many patients die from pancreatic cancer and it is not pretty. I would not wish it upon my worst enemy and my prayers go out to her and her loved ones.
Agreed but she won't retire for the obvious political reasons.
