Seriously? Are you saying that you've never received any emails that disparaged Barack and Michelle? Come on man. Who do you think you're fooling?

Paul is playing the political game.

If he denounces anything negative about those that could be considered to be on his side, then he completely takes away that thing being used against him by democrats.

They can't say "people in your party like Ted Nugent", because Paul can say I came out and spoke directly against Ted Nugent.

If he says nothing at all, the democrats can paint whatever narrative they want.

He's just being a smart politician.

I think this is smart on Paul's part. Nugent will still support him and Paul won't give liberals the opportunity to label him a racist just because he didn't disparage Nugent's remarks.

Win-win here.

Agree. Nugent is a fricking moron and anyone with any political sense should distance himself from these types.

That Paul needs to apologize to Nugent.

i don't think i have, b/c i don't get those sorts of emails. if i did, it was via my aunt (who is a liberal northeasterner), and i just delete her emails unless they're specifically for me.

i still get emails from her and my dad disparaging GWB, though (again, northeastern liberals)

This sounds like something William F. Buckley once said.

This is an idiotic statement proving you are a partisan hack. Part of the reason Obama gets so many insults thrown his way is people remember the pure vitriol spewed at Bush by the left. Its become the new norm, this level of vocalized insults.

I'll take you at you word. I can honestly say that I've never recieved any emails that that disparaged W, McCain or Romney. In 2008, I got a lot of pro-Obama emails, but none disparaing McCain. However, several of my White friends and co-workers said that they were barraged with derogatory Obama emails during both campaigns. I even heard Joe Scarborough and a couple of other TV pundits talk about experiencing the same thing.

You're talking out of both sides of you mouth. On the one hand you saying that Obama ian't disparaged as much as W, but on the other hand you're saying that Republicans are justified in disparaging Obama because W was disparaged.

I will say this for SFP...he appears to be scrupulously honest. Dude SEEMS to be a pretty straight shooter.

I know, we can never really tell on an innerweb message board. But, he writes things that can be seen as good or bad about himself. Seems not to hide from who he is.

honestly who gives a frick what ted nugent says?

I would really like musicians to stick to music and actors to stick to movies. And STFU. Most of the time their philosophy is poorly reasoned, and they are just inflammatory.

As a celebrity, why should Ted Nugent's hyperbole be treated any differently from the inane rantings of left-wing kooks like Cher, Roseanne Barr, etc? They've said some crazy stuff, but I've never seen anybody ask Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, etc about any of that.

Please explain.

Obtw, Ted Nugent can actually talk about issues and make sense when he wants to. I'll give anybody here $100 if they can ever find a comment by Cher that rose above the level of Middle School trash talking.

I'm not justifying anything. Its wrong on both sides if the attacks are unfounded. I'm simply pointing out that to say Obama has recieved worse treatment from the media, fellow politicians etc. as you did, is intellectually dishonest.
