Took huge balls for Paul to stand up to Ted Nugent. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

Right now, the TP is a badge of honor in primaries and a cement block in general elections. Whether or not it should be either is a separate issue.
People like to claim the label because groups like the Tea Party Express are loaded with cash.

FYI, W wasn't subjected to a fraction of the below-the-belt insults that Obama was subjected to. It's not even close, and only the most delusional think otherwise.

Just think of the birtherism claims, which besides accusing Obama of being a fraud, also implied that his mother and his grandparents were frauds since they would have been the actual perpetrators of this act. When has the family of any other president been attacked in this manner?

Are you 10? How can you not remember the vitriol directed towards Bush with seething hatred?

But not even just protest signs...
Every single night on TV, you couldn't watch a show without somebody making some kind of anti-Bush remark. It was everywhere.
You don't get that nearly as much with Obama considering 95% of the media tries to make him look good.

Yep, not even close.
Hell, the anti Reagan sentiment (Both Ron and Nancy) was far worse than anything the Obama's have endured.

Heck, Bush even had his version of the birthers. They were (are) called the truthers, and they think the Bush Administration masterminded the whole 9/11 terrorist attack, that is, they claim it was an inside job.
How many of those people would've made such an asinine assertion if 9/11 had happened on Obama's watch? I'm thinking....approximately....none of them.

The truthers weren't liberals or leftists - they were government conspiracy nuts. Think TX Tiger....follow the money crap.
Bush's version of the birthers were those that harped on his air national guard service.

No need to take an unnecessary personal shot, cwill. This has actually turned into a pretty decent thread, imo.
The truthers I mostly know about were all liberals, and most were kooky liberals. Names like Charlie Sheen, Rosie O'Donnell, and even Mark Cuban.
Oh, and I simply had my name abbreviated because it was confusing to people. No harm, no foul. I'd say trying to make a deal out of it is what's weak.

But Obama's detractors are so because they are all racists, and Obama is a black man.

Brilliant move by Rand.
He should pay or set up some more far right crazies to talk shite about Obama or any other democrat and Rand will call them the frick out.
That's great politics.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconPimp.gif)

Do some research Karla and quit going with what you randomly "think". Truthers were not liberal nor were they conservative, they were just crazy....a lot were associated or associated themselves with Ron Paul.

Y u mad, bro?
If I live to be 102, I'll never understand why some folks can't let go of being butthurt over a couple of contentious debates with an anonymous stranger on an internet message board. Son, save your animus for somebody who may have actually treated you unfairly.
