He's committed 2 million on this ad buy and this is the first spot.

Personally I'm a Rispone voter but I have no problem pulling the lever for Abraham in the runoff if it comes to that.

He's a hell of a lot more trustworthy than RINOs like Scott Angelle and Jay Dardenne.

Abraham is like Ted Cruz to Rispone's Trump.

Does Rispone know that he's running for Governor of Louisiana and not Congress?

He stole that from Herman Cain.

I'm saying this with no disrespect intended. Louisiana has one of the dumbest voting populations in the country and is easy to get riled up about anything. Our education rankings are proof enough of that.

If you ask the casual voter in this state, they would tell you that they have absolutely no clue what an issue like tort reform means and other issues like jobs, lower taxes, or a constitutional convention, they have some small understanding on but it still makes their eyes glaze over and zone out as a result.

A lot of people in this state are just not bright enough and don't know dick about real issues facing Louisiana and just how bad JBE really has been as Governor.

If we had a smarter population like say Georgia, JBE's approval numbers would be low 30s but it's not here in Louisiana as there's a reason why JBE is mid 40s in the approval rating polls and that's because causal voters in this state have absolutely no engagement with issues important to Louisiana.

Why? You are asking poorly educated people to form an opinion about issues that are too difficult for them to understand.

He's got zero shot. Northerners won't fare well at the polls but he had the lowest attendance of any House Rep this past session. Too much dirty laundry for independents to vote his way

I agree with you 100% on the entire statement.

As an educated Louisianan, Rispone's commercial is cringeworthy to me. I know that it'll work to rally the masses that love everything he says in the commercial but the majority of those things are not what a governor would be doing.

And I'm one of the biggest bow hunters on this site and very fiscally conservative but just HATE the ad

Ralph Abraham will be the next governor of Louisiana. You can take that to the bank and tell everyone you know.

Said the JBE supporter.

I only see JBE's people parroting this line of attack towards Abraham. It's a silly attack that's not going to work and besides, the house is democrat controlled so his participation is irrelevant.

Correct.

Political junkies like you and I are not the target audience for those Trump Sycophantic ads.

It's working as Rispone has had more threads about him on TigerDroppings than Abraham. They're even talking about him on the OT and Saints Talk.

JBE can't say that he loves Trump and voted for him as he voted for Obama and Hillary so why not set yourself apart from him on that as a way of identifying where you stand on the political alignment chart?

Saying "I want to do for Louisiana what Trump has done for America." in a state that voted for Trump by 20 points has no risk to it.

True,it's kind of a given for Democrats and their base. But it has also been an infection which has plagued the Republicans in terms of the candidates they recruit. Think Woody Jenkins, and to a lesser extent David Vitter.

All he's got to do is get to the runoff. It's over after that.

Vitter had the most detailed policy platform I've ever seen from a gubernatorial candidate in Louisiana. He was that much of a wonk. He had proposals for every issue under the sun on his website. It was quite impressive really.

Vitter didn't lose because he didn't act like a doofus on the campaign trail, though.

Did you see JBE, after announcing the superdome improvements today at Saints camp, while wearing a Saints polo, hung around and participated in Drew's QB challenge?

That's the kind of stuff that impresses LA voters.
