Pretty sure in some states illegals have already been found using E-verify with stolen identity data.
You can rest assured that it ain't just occurring in some states.

Until they start leading with the name
of the firm over the project and the construction company on the ground......this is all just window dressing. Hold the owners of the company responsible and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the laws we have on the books.

It has been a while since I have had customers who probably hired illegals, but the two I was friendly enough with to discuss it told me that everyone that worked for them had all the correct paperwork. When they needed another employee, there was one man who worked at the plant that would just show up the next day with a new guy who would have all of the correct paperwork and be ready to work. They were both extremely happy with their workforce.
Both employers did everything they were required to do legally. These were small operations, around 25 employees, the owners/managers, and a small management staff.
That has been nearly twenty years now, it might be different today.

Couple of subdivisions close to where my mom lives had a little van that went from location to location selling Mexican food at lunch for the work crews.
She got popped a couple of weeks ago.
That also resorted to selling tamales etc. via FB to stay away from ICE

Oh cool, 37.
I’m all for mass deportations but if you’re going to make a huge spectacle and give the media ammunition to paint our president as a dictator you might as well get your money’s worth instead of a few dozen here and there.

Last week I hired a crew of Hispanic men to do some serious yardwork on a rent house of ours in VA. They trimmed some large trees and cut one down entirely.
If I had hired an “official” bonded and insured tree removal service it would have cost 10x what this crew did, and they wouldn’t have been able to do it so quickly.
I’ve used them before and I know there’s zero chance any of them are here legally. They work for cash only, and only one of them speaks very broken English.
My point is there are people we want here. You can’t kick the entire labor force out, or else we’ll be stuck hiring the local business who charges too much due to government regulation and insurance requirements.

When I was a kid it was unusual to have a Hispanic doing construction and nowadays it is unusual not to have basically the whole crew being Hispanic
I’m in construction in the Birmingham area and I was having this discussion earlier. It ts a pretty “recent” phenomenon, like the past 20 years or so. When I started it was basically dry wallers and insulators. Now it’s every trade. Guaranteed the ones that got scooped are all working for subs and not the GC. Gotta start enforcing E-Verify the way they do OSHA. Fine them a worthwhile fine, if they do it again, the fine triples. If they do it again, hit their MOD rate so they can’t bid on these projects.

Im a contractor...there are no white framers, no white drywall guys and no white brick guys where I am. Sadly the education system, completely run by women and feminine men, have steered all white boys to college with the hopes a cushy white collar 100k job(that doesnt exist). I grew up thinking that anyone that worked construction was a failure, it was backbreaking work that paid pennies.
The reality is that these mexicans do pretty well for themselves with zero debt while all those college boys are up to their eyeballs in student loan debt with no practical job skills

Local community college had a deal ran by trades businesses and unions.
Free college 4 hours per day with 4 hours working on site with your respective career guys
Plumbers to electrian etc ....
50 seats in the program.
2 guys signed up for a guaranteed licensed jobs.
They were bummed out.
