Jury duty question.
If a man sexually violated your baby girl, what would be a fitting punishment?
This isn’t intended to be an alpha question.
As a citizen of the United States of America … if your daughter was raped, what is the appropriate punishment?
I’m currently sitting on a criminal court.
And I’m horrified.

Maximum sentence allowed by the charge.
ETA: If allowed by the jurisdiction, max sentence plus one day. Removes parole/probation from shortening the full sentence.

Life. We don’t want to incentivize perps to kill the victim by making the sentence the same for aggravated rape and murder.

My daughter will tell you today (she's 32 and no pics) that every boy that came to the house was laid down the law either by her or me. There is NO EXCUSE for rape of a young daughter.

To start off? Castration. Then 50 years hard labor without benefit of parole. Actually I think that's pretty mild.
