I hope some Desantis supporters are willing to honestly answer a question.

I don't want to influence the responses so I won't say too much more. I'll only add that this isn't a gotcha and that there's no wrong answer to this question.

Question
========

On a scale of 1 to 10, how much did last night's result surprise you? 1 (I expected Desantis to lose by a lot and he did) to 10 (I expected Desantis to win last night and I was shocked that he lost by so much).

Why? You larping clowns always claim to know what all "ronbots" are thinking anyway. Just do your standard Carnac routine and skip the middle man.

I knew he’d come in 2nd, never met anyone who like Haley, she seemed more a plant.

Of course Trump had the most votes when it’s spread out between 5 candidates. It’s still 50% voting for Trump, 50% voting against Trump

They think him losing was a win. So where does that answer fit on your scale?

I am a registered independent, but really like Desantis. I think he has been a great governor, and is a true conservative. I am a true conservative.

I fully expected to see Trump win handily last night, and see him winning the Republican nomination with ease. I was hoping Desantis would come out 2nd, and am happy he did, as I abhor Haley.

No surprise, so 1. DeSantis is basically chasing the same voters as Trump, so with Trump in the race this was bound to happen.

I guess the question is this: By this fall, is Trump going to have felony convictions and imprisonment to deal with? Because if so, we damn sure should have some other option.

Other than not being good at math .....

Trump 51% not 50 ......

Vivek dropping out means that most if not all of that 8% will go to Trump.

Niki drops further and further behind. Her Alamo is in her own state ....

This election was about 87.000 shy of their old record. Blame the cold and ice plus obvious Trump landslide prediction.

Force New York and Massachusetts Democrats to house Taco Benders .......we'll see if both states turn red in the National.

Expand the war in Yemen and include Iran in Iraq ......boots on the ground really turn the tables against Biden the fraud trailer trash candidate ......That will mean that oil goes above $120 a barrel and inflation zooms over the top .....

No, I actually think that most of Vivek’s supporters will pivot to Ron over Trump, at least initially.

We all know that when it’s closer to the finish line, it will be whoever. But many of us think that the party is stronger without Trump at the helm. He can be active and have his following, but he’s such as target that he hurts the party with the sheer amount of people who hate him as a person.

Trump can’t win in a landslide, and neither can Biden.

Is there anyone who could get their own party plus a significant amount from the other?

He won 98 of the 99 counties . What are you talking about ? How is that 50 percent against him?

Not going to happen. Vivek supporters second choice is DJT. Naturally when your candidate drops out you move on to your second choice. How many in each individual state is yet to be determined. DeSantis will flop in New Hampshire and he knows this. Viveks votes are now going to counteract the dem haley vote in New Hampshire. They are not helping Ron "at least initially " as you state. Odds are things are only going to get tougher on DeSantis .

Why don't you just answer the question? It's a fair question yet you dance around it.

Trump and Vivek are more in tune than Desantis.

Desantis needs to develop a debate capability. I think that Trump and Vivek develop a can't beat combination. No one the Democrats could cobble together would defeat the pairing. For those who never worked with a Developer, never lived in new York and never ran a business.....believe the trash from the media ......who never achieved what either has done business wise. The media is the most insane group of nothing possible. Yet they have the ear of idiots.

You may be right about initially ....but mean tweets certainly beats illiterate socialism any time of the week hands down. I'm a Vivek fan ....but right now, more of a Trump fan because I understand what he's trying to accomplish......Vivek is far more right of center than Trump. The competition far more destructive of the country and Constitution. Vivek understands defeating competitors. Trump developed under his own banner ....Trump doesn't have the killer instinct that Vivek has .....Desantis ....not in the ball park ...Hailey? Left of the center in the pairing ....Establishment minded ....We want Mitch McConnell gone and Mittens forgotten ...

It's a little late for that! I'm not saying that to trash DeSantis; although I still think he's been a great Governor and would possibly be a good president he is an absolutely terrible candidate and has run an awful race. There is no path for him to be elected.
