are there any conservatives on the board who agree with the liberal stance or solution to any of the major issues of our country? I try to be pragmatic and logical about everything and not pigeonhole myself in any ideology on a permanent basis, but I genuinely can't think of any major/important issue in which I agree with the liberal point of view

-lax border security
-"free" college education
-gov't giving stimmy checks
-increased gun control
-supporting tax the rich initiatives
-amnesty for illegal immigrants
-gov't interventions on social media platforms
-advancing the LGBT agenda
-gov't funding for personal healthcare choices
-mandates for masks/vaccines
-giving financial/military aid to other countries on a yearly basis

I agree on police reform but that's it.

Well I used to agree with them on ending constant war but they threw that one out the window with Ukraine.

No

And this one is a joke. If government pays for it you don't have a choice

Nope. Not a f*cking one.

There was one issue that I used to be in total agreement with the ACLU on -- unlimited free speech. However, they’ve let the most far left f*cking whackjobs take over their organization and look to censor anything that goes against the insane f*cking agenda of the most far left scum on the planet.

Can’t think of a single thing, tho I’d be willing to amend my comment if someone posts a liberal/progressive issue with which I do agree.

Their agenda is to accumulate power and fundamentally transform America and the world

Their platform is a means to that end

ETA: no I don’t agree with their views

-lax border security - No
-"free" college education - No
-gov't giving stimmy checks - No
-increased gun control - increased security checks for assault rifles
-supporting tax the rich initiatives - we need to do a little more to hold corporations accountable
-amnesty for illegal immigrants - No
-gov't interventions on social media platforms - No
-advancing the LGBT agenda - No
-gov't funding for personal healthcare choices - No
-mandates for masks/vaccines - No
-giving financial/military aid to other countries on a yearly basis - Eh, this one is multi dimensional. You are obviously buying something when you donate to a country. And we don't really know what is going on behind the scenes. At the end of the day, i want to ensure we maintain military dominance.

Not a single one.

There's common ground, but they are totally unwilling to move on it, and dig in to extremist positions.

NO, none.
In fact, most of the stuff conservatives favor are way too left wing for my taste.

I've been searching for some tidbit that they are honest about for 30 years - and I don't agree with anyone about anything that they are being 'dishonest' about.

Words matter. But actions are more important, regardless of the words that surround the action.

So far = I know of nothing the modern DEM party is honest about - NOTHING -

that, to me, is the most important question - debating what they SAY is a fools errand, unless the MEANING of their words are agreed upon.

Hard to find many issues that would have broad appeal and engender bipartisan support. Civil Asset Forfeiture is one of the only ones I can think of.

I do not consider myself a "republican" or a conservative but I simply follow the facts and evidence, when discussing issues we clearly have data on, and are personal witnesses to the damages to society.

Welfare state - 60 years of the welfare state, with data showing that the destruction of the family unit, one father and one mother, has destroyed the inner city, and is now working itself out to others who "want the free ride", however, there are no free meals.

Affirmative Action - cannot treat humans as perpetual victims, oppressed for their entire lives, and live in a constant state of hopelessness and expect them to exceed.

D.I.E - diversity, inclusion, and equity - “Law, without equity, though hard and disagreeable, is much more desirable for the public good than equity without law, which would make every judge a legislator, and introduce most infinite confusion, as there would be almost as many different rules of action laid down in our courts as there are differences of capacity and sentiment in the human mind.” (I Blk. Comm. 62)

Statism in all its forms - Government and the "belief" that they can fix anything, is not only false factually and observably, is nothing more than religious zealots prostrating themselves at the feet of their messiah. "Never underestimate the difficulty in changing false beliefs, by facts"

Rule of Law - logic gives rules to reason, just as morality gives rules for action. Law without morality, based on simple text, perverts the "spirit" of the law, which is the foundation of our Republic. Logic and morality are both normative, they together tell us what we ought to do.

Cutural Marxism - Progressivism, Liberalism, and Socialism - Obama quote " We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America."

FUNDAMENT'AL, n. A leading or primary principle, rule, law or article, which serves as the ground work of a system; essential part; as the fundamentals of the christian faith.

We must identify the actual foundation being stolen, the stinking rot of a calcified mind...Fundamental - Foundation-Mind...

Have a great day!

i'm against the death penalty, full stop.

i know there are people that aren't worth the needle or bullet that would end their life, but think about how hard the government (including our president) worked to make sure that we all thought Kyle Rittenhouse shot 3 pure of heart activists in cold blood. Do i want anybody with that poisoned of motives to be in charge of seeking the death penalty?

quote:

-"free" college education

i'm in favor of government assisted trade school and community college but if you use it, you're given an unemployment bucket that can only be built up by years worked.

if you don't take uncle sam up on the free school, you don't get any unemployment unless you have filled up the bucket. staying employed longer gives you a bigger bucket. once it's out, it's out.

quote:

-amnesty for illegal immigrants

i am not that hard up to deport people that have been here their whole life. if i knew we'd cut entitlements to non-citizens and require military or civil service to gain citizenship, sure. but the left never wants any consequences for actions or for people to earn things.

quote:

-increased gun control

i don't want the government to take anybody's guns away but i wish they'd spend less time on Jan 6 people and moms at school boards and more time on people that they had on their radar that ended up committing violence.

police reform

Not needed. And you can't even prove or show that it's systemic or even an major issue.

Reform or Fix will never go hand in hand with anything the Federal Government does or knows.

-lax border security

We have no border security. What is more lax than that? Any realistic immigration reform must start with securing our borders.

quote:

"free" college education

there is no such thing as free. non starter.

quote:

-gov't giving stimmy checks

No. Raise the standard deduction/ lower rates if you want to put more money in peoples hands.

quote:

-increased gun control

No.

quote:

-supporting tax the rich initiatives

The rich are the only people who pay taxes as it is.

quote:

-amnesty for illegal immigrants

Not without a comprehensive immigration reform.

gov't interventions on social media platforms

No.

advancing the LGBT agenda

Beyond equal protection, no.

gov't funding for personal healthcare choices

No.
