Trump said TODAY that it was scheduled to go to the library. He didn't say how it would be used there.

That’s not how airplanes work.
It will either be used, or it will be a permanent display at a museum. There is no crossover there.

Did you watch the video that I linked? The plane is going to be sitting inside a skyscraper. It will have to be disassembled and reassembled inside. He's not going to be taking it for joy rides. He has his own damn plane.

Sorry if I gave the wrong impression. I just meant Trump is C-i-C. The question is how will the Trump Library use its asset. I think it unlikely to mothball such an amazing aircraft.

I did. Thanks. There was a change of plan subsequent to that. Eric Trump said that one of the older 747s would be used for the static display in the Library.

Aircraft Eric says will go in the library: VC-25A, tail number 29000, one of the older Air Force One 747s.
Eric's July 9 statement explicitly identified the older 29000 as the planned library aircraft.
This was a significant departure from Donald Trump's repeated statement that the Qatari aircraft itself would go directly to his library after he left office.
And this wasn't merely an interpretation by a reporter. Eric Trump personally told NBC News in August that the Qatari plane was “not the plan at the moment” for the Miami library, while again pointing toward an older retired Air Force One as the type of aircraft intended for display.

What government property? The Trump Library is a PRIVATE organization. Once the asset is transferred, that asset can be used any way the Library Board sees fit.
You think President Trump is going to be satisfied NOT flying the most magnificent jet in the world if it's at his disposal?
The recent Ballroom case established the precedent. Unless someone can show tangible damage, they can't sue the President to stop him from doing whatever he wants with federal property. President Trump could transfer both QF1 (to fly) and an older 747 (to display) to the Library. Who is going to have standing to sue to stop him?
