Qatar Force One: Probably Going to Trump Library

Trump said that the Qatari 747 flying palace is scheduled to go to his library (he called it "the museum") when he leaves office. When pressed what he would DO with it, he wasn't specific other than saying "it will probably go to the museum."
He said it the 747 was being "maxed out" later this year so that it could go anywhere in the world.
It's hard to believe that over $400 million in taxpayer funds are going to be spent on this amazing jet, and that it's going to be put in mothballs two years later. We'll see.
Curveball: what if the two replacement 747s aren't ready for presidential use when Trump leaves office?

The difference is the Reagan AF1 was an obsolete 707 that had been in service for almost 30 years.
With this, state of the art, best 747-800 in the world at its prime, it's just hard to imagine it sitting idle.

The President seemed to think the jet is a big deal. I remember you lecturing me on what an idiot I was for thinking it wouldn't stay in inventory after the President leaves.

Maybe I'm not remembering correctly. I thought you found an article that was definitive about it becoming an E4C.
At any rate, I just thought this added some information. Trump seems pretty set on taking the jet with him.
